How does your district pay you?
Are you paid just School days that you work or are you paid monthly including summers?
And if paid summers does your pay go down to part time?
Same as a teacher & on the same pay scale as a teacher in my district - 187 days; paid monthly spread out over 12 months. If we do any extra work for supplemental pay it will appear on the next months check in addition to our regular salary.
As nurses we can teach CPR classes to our district staff at $150 for each class we teach (need to have 6 students in each class in order to be paid). In the summer there are opportunities to work summer school at all levels and to work summer registration. During the school year I pick up easy, no brainer, no stress extra money working the gate/ticket sales of the high school sporting events - Varsity football pays $75 per game, all other sports pay $50 and on occasion $75. Just working the sporting events I can easily make an extra $500 a month that goes into my summer vacation fund :)

That's good money I get $40 per game!!! BUt the best part is that it comes out of my reg check now, no more 1099 at tax time! and also pays into retirement!!! I'll take it for the basically mindless work!!!

Bi weekly, salary, 12 months a year (had a choice of 18 pays or 26 pays). Actually get more in the summer (and the weeks of Christmas break and Spring Break) because my HSA and health care premiums don't come out in the summer (they only come out in those 18 pays).
