Please state your state and salary as a school nurse. Thank you!

I'm new to school nursing but I agreed to 54,000 salary, my hours are m-f 7a-3:45p and all weekends and holidays off with 6 weeks paid time off in summer. I sort of broke even from my last job. Not any less unless I picked up overtime at my old job but not any more but I feel like this position will be worth it. I'm newly pregnant so I think this job is family friendly and the kids are so fun. Oh I live in MA btw and the school is a charter middle school.
Hello!First time poster and newly certified in school nursing. I am currently looking for employment in NJ and was wondering about salary salary negotiation if you get an offer. Is it an "it is what it is" or can you hold out for more? Also do they count your years of experience as a nurse for the "steps" or are you starting at zero?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Hi! So nice to see someone else from NJ. I'm currently in school for my cert and subbing in my local district / working per Diem at the hospital. I'm curious how things turned out for you with getting hired!
In N.C., school nurses are required to pass the National Board Certification Exam for School Nurses within 3 years of being hired. Then you are placed on the teacher's salary schedule-( "M" license or Master's level schedule) by years of nursing experience. Also you are eligible for the local salary supplement pay in your county.
So I have 11 years nursing experience + supplement......$46,260 + 2,500= $48,760 / 10 months

Man, I wish all states/districts paid like this
Western NY, RN at a large suburban HS. Stated at 33K, at 38K now, 4th year at this school. Comes out to like 25/hr. I'm in the teacher union and on their contract however I am at a slightly lower pay rate (I'm the same as caseworkers, etc). Our elementary schools in the district have school nurse-teachers. They have their master degrees and teach health classes to elementary kids. They are paid more... but they will be phasing them out soon.
I also get an extra 2K because I don't take their health insurance. And an extra 1500 in the summer because I work 2 weeks in august. So about 42,500 total. Nurses in this area are underpaid in general. I was making 22.50 at the hospital when I left, so it really wasn't a big difference except I worked a LOT more hours at the hospital.
I also have a side job that brings in about 200-400 a month during the school year.

Welcome!
My district is set up were there really isn't room for negotiation and they only count full time school nurse experience towards the steps, so I started at the beginning
