School Nurse Office by the Numbers

So... I ran a few reports in Genesis.... counted a few binders filled with papers and came up with the follow numbers.

As of May 6, 2016, I have:

- Documented over 3,200 visits to my office

- Filled out 170 accident forms (mostly head bumps)

- Sent home 56 vision referrals

- sent home 20 hearing referrals

- Completed 16 CST referrals

- Completed 53 I&RS referrals

- Completed 4 Section 504 plans

- Completed 17 speech referrals

- Entered the health information of 174 new students (mostly kindergarten) into Genesis

- Performed 74 independent lice screens (not counting the 125 I did when I checked 5 full classrooms)

- Managed 7 daily meds

- Managed 38 prns med (10 Epipens, 3 seizure meds, 21 asthma meds, 2 pain meds and 2 allergy meds).

Pass me a drink? Anyone? Anyone? :wacky:

3266 visits (telephone calls are included in this when I remember)

76 accident reports

Case manage 13 504 plans which means getting information out to teaches 3x year

New student health info (immunizations and health history) for 75 kids (transfers and incoming from a sending school)

Iz survey

Review sport rosters for 3 seasons for medical exam compliance and ImPACT testing

4 daily meds

7 prn meds

Epi training

BBP training

AED maintenance for 5 machines in the district

Alcohol task force

YRBS survey and reporting of info

anything else????
