What are the hours at your school for students? The school where I work is 7:45-4 (I am at a charter school and the day is longer). My own kids are 8:15-2:30, and 7:45-3:15. One of my friends has a son who doesn't start until 9:15 which seems so late to me. Just curious!

8:35am-3:20pm but students start to arrive for breakfast and morning recess at 8am. My hours are 7:30-4pm. Feels like a long day to me! Early dismissal (2:25) on Thursdays but I stay until 4pm on those days as well.
That's smart that they do a recess to start the day- get the wiggles out, fresh air, etc.

For my district the hours are:
Preschool: 8-10:30 and then 11:45-2:15 (There is also an 8-1 program)
Elementary: 8:45-3:35
Jr High: 8-3
High School: 7:20-2:20

I think a 9:15 start time would be great! Teens especially do not get enough sleep and need 9-10 hours a night, which will never happen.
My school goes 7:45 (late bell at 8) to 3 PM, with a slightly earlier day on Mondays. However, most days there is after school tutoring or clubs until 5 PM. I work 7-4 PM most days, some days 7-4:30/5. Oddly enough, going until 3 is extended day; most schools start around the same time, but get out at 2 around my area.

I'm not a morning person at all, so those hours are perfect for me!

My kids go from 0900-1530 but the doors open at 0830 for breakfast in the classroom, announcements, etc. My hours are 0830-1550 but I always get here earlier and sometimes stay after when needed.

We are about 45 minutes longer than public schools so we have a 170 day school year
