Scheduled my exam! Any one else testing next week? (July 7th)

Published

I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.

Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.

Anyone else taking their exam next week?

With the changes PV implemented to try to prevent the PVT from working, I wouldn't freak out if it tried to charge the card. It could be that since so many people tried to use the same card, the CC company has issued an automatic decline if it's used again. Typically, a cursory check for validity will be done on a card before it's actually charged. If it fails validity, you aren't going to get anywhere. This is exactly why I won't do PVT. No use getting upset over something you have no idea is valid or not.

I know 48 hours seems like a small eternity to wait, but it's worth the $8 for Quick Results to actually know for certain that you've passed.

Time feels like it's dragging right now, but it'll soon be 48 hours before we know it :)

Exactly! Do not get worked up about something that might not be legit. Keep faith, haven!

SopranoKris,

Thats awesome! I was amazed to get to know about the continental website results available here. Chi- is still the same as years back :) I have heard MI is beautiful, though :)

Test shut off at 75. I was done in an hour and a half. Half of my test was SATA, 2 exhibits... no other alternate format. A huge amount of priority questions (thank you La Charity PDA, you beautiful book). No math or EKGs - sadface, those are probably my two strongest points. Weirdly, I feel good about the test. I felt calm during the whole test and I honestly feel like I passed.

I think my emotions are broken. Two days before the test I was having an internal mini-meltdown.

Hey guys,

is here anyone from IL?

Oh, me me ME! :D

Hey guys!

So for those in IL, there is a continental service website check that lets you see after 24 hours the preliminary results, even

before you can see Quick View results on VUE Pearson. I was checking all day and there was nothing.

But right now, I just saw that I passed! RN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIG HUGE CONGRATS! That's amazing! I'm so happy for you! :)

And I'll definitely be stalking continental tomorrow.

I think my emotions are broken. Two days before the test I was having an internal mini-meltdown.

my emotional world is also drained. I feel so exhausted. And after I just saw "pass", I realized how tired I am and how emotionally and physically exhausted I am too.

Oh, me me ME! :D

Do that! I have heard they post by 5 pm the following day. My results were in by 4 35 pm :)

I am SOOOOOOOOO happy and relieved!:cheeky:

Oh, that's great! I wonder if mine will be in by 5pm though since I started later at 2pm, but we'll see. I will surely be stalking it every hour on the hour. :cheeky:

Either way, still BIG HUGE CONGRATS! Knocked that NCLEX out of the park! :)

I took mine at 2 pm, yesterday! And got result today at 4 35 pm. So by tomorrow you will be in the "know" zone. :)

Thank you for congrats! And I am so happy we got together here and fed of each other with encouragement! I believe in every single person who is on here that we all passed! Some weeks are just happy!:roflmao:

Ooo, that's perfect then! I'll start checking around then. Thanks for letting me know!

You said it! I honestly believe in everyone on this thread. Everyone on here is smart and capable, or they would not have made it this far. I'm excited to see how the week plays out for everyone! :)

SopranoKris,

i felt exactly the same way. I wouldn't have trusted the good pop-up and seeing the card declined would have devastated me, so I just toughed out the agonizing wait. At least when I got results. I knew for sure.

We rock!

look back while waiting for the results and remember all the difficulties you had to overcome. studying, driving places, getting up early and what not! When you see: "pass" you will realize it was all worth it!

congrats New Rn!!!

Willow, your experience was exactly like mine. Lots of SATA & prioritizing. I also had no alternate format as well. One med math and exam shut off at 77 questions.

Here's hoping we all get to put RN after our names!

I agree with you all. The camaraderie & support on this site is wonderful. I'm cheering you all on! :)
