I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.
Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.
Anyone else taking their exam next week?
That's why I did NOT to do the trick... It is totally unreliable and you could just be stressing for no reason. My friend did it and got the good pop up but she still was worried and freaking out that it was wrong. So it's not worth the added anxiety.
Honestly, just wait for your official results and hang in there :)
Do you remember how you did on the first 10 questions? Because my school adviser AND Kaplan teacher said it's important to get the most right out of those ten that you can. This is so you are above the passing line from the very start; and even though you get questions wrong after the first 10, you're still ABOVE the passing line.

With the changes PV implemented to try to prevent the PVT from working, I wouldn't freak out if it tried to charge the card. It could be that since so many people tried to use the same card, the CC company has issued an automatic decline if it's used again. Typically, a cursory check for validity will be done on a card before it's actually charged. If it fails validity, you aren't going to get anywhere. This is exactly why I won't do PVT. No use getting upset over something you have no idea is valid or not.
I know 48 hours seems like a small eternity to wait, but it's worth the $8 for Quick Results to actually know for certain that you've passed.
Time feels like it's dragging right now, but it'll soon be 48 hours before we know it :)

I thought the same thing maybe the credit card issued a decline on the third try on that card. but would that apply to using a VISA gift card? That is where I'm wondering if they don't close it.
some people found out at 8 am the next day, so check tomorrow morning :)
Hey guys!
So for those in IL, there is a continental service website check that lets you see after 24 hours the preliminary results, even
before you can see Quick View results on VUE Pearson. I was checking all day and there was nothing.
But right now, I just saw that I passed! RN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they were referring to the old PVT where it wouldn't even let you go to the credit card info screen if you passed. I read they changed sometime in august 2014 and everyone now has to put in credit card info, and hope your pop ups are good or bad. Or did I read her comment wrong? hahah sorry I am looking for all the hope I can get lol
