I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.
Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.
Anyone else taking their exam next week?
Have you guys all received the application for license in your states to fill out and mail back in? Here, in IL I receive application and had to send it back along with $50, so I assume results would not be posted until this paperwork is processed. It would be so interesting to get to know.
In MI, it's $15 to get an official letter that verifies your license. However, most employers just look us up on the BON website. I know they will mail us our official license in 6 weeks.
Thank you... I have 3 more days until I take my test. So that means, I have I one full day to practice and 1 day to rest before test day. Thank you!!! Congrats to all you guys, Can't wait to be next to post that I passed. Since the last week, I have been glued to my part time studying and preparing so can't wait to finally get some sun light!
It's going to feel so WEIRD when it's all over. No more studying, no more practice quizzes. It's a strange feeling. Of course, then you feel like you're in limbo until you get the Quick Results!!! I recommend following in zeenurse's footsteps. Like her, I used the time to clean the house to kill time until the results were available. Enjoy your day off from studying tomorrow
What time is your NCLEX on Wednesday?
Hi guys,
Ok so I take my NCLEX exam tomorrow July 14th at 8am. Everyone says to not study the day before the exam so I am going to try and take it easy today (Hopefully!). Anyways I have a question. I always hear about this PVT trick or "good pop-up" to see if you passed your exam. Can anyone explain to me what this means and how to do it?
Thanks I would appreciate it.
Good luck, mtalavera8 & TokyoD!
About PVT, I wouldn't bother doing it. It's not 100% reliable and you run the risk of getting charged the $200 for the exam that is non-refundable. Does your state participate in Quick Results? If so, wait the 48 hours and pay the $8 for it. You'll know 100% for sure if you passed.
Good luck :)
Lol I can not wait to finally get this all behind me. I was the nursing student who was always #1 in my class... So that means I barely slept during nursing school so to finally see what I can finally put this all behind me is unbelievable until next year because I plan to attend grad school next year but I can not wait. Tomorrow I do not know what to do with myself because I low key want to do last minute studying, but like my mother said I need to get some rest and enjoy the sun.

Thank you, thats what I think I will do. Besides it will be nice to have 48 hours to not think of the exam!
