I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.
Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.
Anyone else taking their exam next week?
The BON *finally* updated the website with my license number!!! YAY!!!:D
I've been waiting for that so I can start my new job. Looks like my first day will be July 27th. I'm SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SopranoKris: Dear! Congratulations! I am so very excited for you and proud of you persistent efforts in achieving your goals! Now once the long wait is over you can take a week off before the great adventure!
SopranoKris, are you doing days or nites at CCU?
Thanks! During orientation, I'll be doing days, but more than likely, I'll be on the night shift once I'm ready to be on my own. The good thing about the nurse residency program is that I'm assigned to an RN as a mentor, so I won't be completely "thrown to the wolves" once orientation is over :) I'm so excited to start! Now that I know when I'm starting, I can FINALLY relax and enjoy my last bit of freedom. Who knows when I'll get this much time off again? LOL

I tested July 7 too, I passed in 75 even though I walked out thinking I might have failed! Congrats to all the new RNs and LPNs here, and good luck to those testing soon! Be confident, you know more than you think
