I graduated on May 12th and it's been a LONG wait for the state to finally issue authorization to test with Pearson. July 7th at 8 AM is the big day.
Our nursing program gave each graduating nurse a scholarship "gift" of the Kaplan 4-day NCLEX prep. I've been doing practice Q-Bank questions nearly every day. So far, I'm doing pretty well on the trainers & Q-Banks. I simply cannot wait to get this over & done with. I have a job lined up and I cannot start until I pass the NCLEX, per their policy.
Anyone else taking their exam next week?
Ok guys, so I just took my exam at 8am yesterday. I had all 265 questions and cried through half of the exam. I honestly felt defeated. I just did the PVT at 2:30am using a valid card with not much money on it and got a message saying "Our records indicate that you have recently scheduled this exam..." Is this a good sign? Or did I do the trick too early since it hasnt been 24 hours???

If it hasn't been 24 hours, it's too early. I would honestly stop trying to do PVT because it will just make you even more stressed out. You can't rely on it 100%. Getting your Quick Results tomorrow will let you know with 100% certainty whether you passed or not.
We've had 5 people in our graduating class go all the way to 265 questions. 2 passed and 3 failed. Of the 3 failures, two of them did not attend the Kaplan prep. The other one didn't let us know if she finished the study plan or not (we're giving her some space right now). Both of my friends who passed at 265 felt like they had utterly bombed the test. One was already re-vamping her study plan when she decided to look at Quick Results, just in case.
So, you still have some hope that you passed. Will be praying you get happy news tomorrow
Tokyo:Hang in there! It is truly possible you have passed. I have walked out of my exam thinking I might have done either really well or really not well. You will not know until you see it but I am keeping your fingers crossed!
Thank you :) that means alot to me. I am trying to stay positive although I am beyond nervous. I appreciate the kind words :)
Hey everyone!!!
So, I took the NCLEX this morning and the computer shut off on me 75... I had 25 sata, 3 to 5 exhibit questions, 1 math question and tons of priority who would you see first type of question and medication questions with only the generic names. I am numb and was in disbelief when it shut off on me. I was like wait hold on, what is going on. I have mixed feelings. The day before I relaxed and slept in and had an emotional break down. Thank God my man put up with me and tried to ease my frustration with dinner and a movie. And slept for a little while and kept waking up every 15 mins because I did not want to over sleep since I went to bed so late because of my emotional break down. So guys it is finally over but now I am anxious to know did I pass.... I'm still thinking to myself 75 questions huh wait? And I do not want to do the PVT... I'm willing to wait for my actual results... I really do not have the time for the false hope...

That's a great sign that you've passed, if it ended in 75 questions I just *know* you did!!! Can't wait to read your post on Friday when you get your Quick Results. In the mean time, you can vent to us any time you want. We understand how LONG that 48 hours really is!!!!
