Hi everyone,
unfortunately I recently failed the nclex. I was using nclex 3500 for practice questions and fear that was too easy and didn't really mimic the real exam. Sooo, i just bought Saunders Q&A Review NCLEX-RN Examination by Silvestri. Can anyone give me any feedback on this book? I heard it was very good and the questions were challenging and mimiced the real nclex? Is this true? Thankkk Youuu!

I passed the exam with the KAPLAN Test Strategy book (very much recommended!) and the Saunders Question Flashcards! I very much liked the cards, the questions did represent the NCLEX, I even had questions about the same subject on the actual exam and because I did the flashcards I knew the answer.
Good luck to you!

I graduated in May. There is a new format for NCLEX this year and the only study guide out at that point with the new format was a Davis one. I didn't particularly like the questions/rationales but I do believe answering SO many (over 5000) helped me. If you're close you can have it! :)

You will find plenty feedback in the NCLEX forum. Most people use the Saunders Comprehensive Review and are successful with it.

I just passed NCLEX a few weeks ago, I used the Saunders Comprehensive CD fot practice questions, and I found it helpful! I did not read the book though, I used Exam Cram for my comprehensive study book. I just preferred the Saunders disc, the EC disc was hard to use. I also recommend the Lacharity book on Prioritization & Delegation. But for practice questions, I loved the Saunders disc, it was easy to use and there were a lot of questions so you didnt constantly get repeats. I spent a lot of time on the Pharm section.

AGREED! I took the NCLEX in early June and had a multitude of study materials. It was actually somewhat overwhelming. Of everything I used, the Kaplan strategy book and the Saunders flashcards were the most helpful.

As you know you never feel as if you know everything. I just did as many questions as possible. If you need content then I suggest Hurst!!! I loved it!

Saunders was excellent. Did as many questions as I could handle over the course of 2 weeks. 4000-ish. Took the test and passed with confidence. I've recommended it to others that have done the same and passed.
grab it.
PS....You can get used ones on eBay for a good price.

You sound just like me Walden-Puddle, RN. I have done the same thing since July 12th (almost a month) but I have been using NCLEX 4000 and ATI. So far I have done over 5500 questions and I feel that I am ready to test but I am super nervous about setting the date. Was this the only thing that you done to practice? Have you ever used or know anyone that has used the NCLEX 4000? I think that some of the questions are easy but maybe thats because I have practiced so many questions.

The CD that came with the Saunders Q&A book was the only thing I used to study. I honestly can't remember how much they mimicked actual NCLEX exam questions because it's been a few years now, but I passed with 75 questions and felt like I was well prepared.

I used the Saunders comprehensive study guide and the box question set, and I also used Kaplan strategy book. I passed easy first time. Love Saunders. I have also heard the Exam Cram book is good. Also, the Hurst review (I did it a couple times while in school) was helpful.
Good Luck!

I used Saunders Comprehesive all the way through school. It was great, I also used it for tutoring the class behind me.
Good luck..................
