Stop by, introduce yourself, say a little about yourself. :)
I'm sorry to hear its not going well. Do you have to much to juggle? My advise would be since you are already in the program to just go full steam ahead or you may regret it later. When I went through the LPN program my children were little so I know how hard it is. Use your resources and pray...alot.
Hey all I am 43 and I have just completed the 2nd semester of the first year of the nursing progam. I have been a LPN since 2000, I am the sole provider for my family and My husband and youngest daugter are also college students.
I am so excited with the anticipation of Graduation next spring that I dont think anything can stop me. I study all the time and work in my spare time.
I know this adventure will never end because in Nursing you are always a student.
Hi everyone!
My name is Genevieve 25 y/o from Los Angeles. I finally got accepted in a LVN- RN program to start this year. I'm really excited about it. I've worked as an LVN for 4 years now. During my first two years, I worked as a Registry nurse going to different hospitals mainly working in Med-Surg, Tele, and Rehab units. I also worked in an outpatient surgery center mainly doing cosmetic surgeries and lap band. I learned so much during those two years. Then, I decided to go back to school and find a regular job at Kaiser, where I'm currently employed.
I'm very excited for the RN program. I've worked so hard to get in one. I hope it will all be worth it in the end.
I've been an LPN for almost 12 years with 5 years experience in a hospital setting and now I work in LTC. Staff nurse mostly, but I do Infection Control Tracking and I'm Charge Nurse sometimes, too. Currently I'm enrolled with Excelsior College trying to obtain my RN degree. I'm studying for my first exam....Good luck to everyone!
Hello all! I actually just graduated from my LPN program (woowoo!) Will be taking my boards in a few weeks, start a new job, and then July 17th start the RN program! OMG I have so much going on....sometimes I think I should have taken a quarter off to get adjusted to my new job. But I am so scared I won't go back! Full speed ahead I guess!! Wish me luck!

Good for you KDWorkingmom. I wish I would have done it 10 years ago but I had to wait until my children were grown. Now I have more time and since I made it through their terrible teens I think I can handle just about anything!!
