In the hospital you work for, are you able to wear any color srcub/outfit? Or is there a designated one for your department?

Great prices at both of these places. I like uniform advantage the best. That's where I get most of my scrubs.

Jasco Uniforms does have great prices. As a matter of fact, I ordered both a cute scrub top with animal prints and a pair of white pants for $25.00 just last night. You can't beat their service, either, for every order I have placed in the past has been delivered in less than ten days. They are having a big sale right now, too.

Just to let everyone know I cancelled my last order with AllHeart.

I order the Card III Littmann. Two scrub tops. Pay extra for 3 day shipping. This is on Tuesday, 2/14.

Send an e-mail next day asking for confirmation. Next day, still no confirming e-mail.

Get a number, get a human (next to impossible there - press 0, not anything else!). She is very nice and apologetic. Order goes off to the warehouse, I get an e-mail telling me so. One scrub top is backordered, she tells me. I say I don't care, send me what you have. I need the damn steth. She says they will.

Thursday, 2/23. Nothing. Send another e-mail. No answer.

Call ystdy. New person. She can't imagine what's holding up the order. She bumps me to overnight shipping and removes the extra shipping charge for 3-day.

Get a response to my e-mail after that. The Littmann is on backorder. The website doesn't tell you that when you order, they don't tell you when they get the order, they don't tell you after two e-mails and two phone calls. She tells me (in the e-mail) that they have, indeed, changed my shipping and I'll get the stethoscope when they get it in.

I don't THINK so.

I ordered from Steeles.com. Same prices as AllHeart and they actually have inventory AND tell you within 24 - 48 hours if they don't. Geeze, like people ordering stuff might, you know, need it.

I will never use AllHeart again. And if they screw with me on cancelling I'll report them with all of the supporting documentation to the Better Business Bureau.

i will stick w/jasco uniform for customer service and price.

In China, Nurse Scrubs are ordered by hospitals, not nurse themself.

Too bad you didn't get to read my earlier post before you ordered. They really should be shut down. Pathetic business.

Specializes in Emergency Nursing...Yay!!.

At the hospital where I work all job classes are color coded. RT's wear green, ECT's or CNA's wear burgundy or gray, Radiology is green etc... As RN's we can wear Navy, Royal or Ciel blue. We are also allowed to wear white, but I work in a busy ER and can't imagine wearing it. :barf02:

Personally, I've always purchased on line from http://www.a1scrubs.com. They have reasonable prices, a great selection and totally fast shipping. I have never had to deal with their customer service which is a good thing.

Since we all have to wear the same colors, we order different badge holders from this place: http://www.identifyme.info. They have some really cute stuff.

Specializes in CCU stepdown, PACU, labor and delivery.

In L&D we are required to wear pink or blue. I know on the med surg/cardiac/ICU units there is no requirements, maybe because they can't keep nurses so the don't make a big issue over it. When I worked PACU we wore hunter green. The hospital I used to work at was coded by profession. RN wore huntergreen, LPN wore purple, CNA woreplum. There were posters posted at the nursing stations for pts and their families.

I work in LTC that is connected eith a hospital. Each department has designated colors. RN in hospital can wear white or purple. RN in LTC can wear white or royal. RN in ER can wear white or burgundy. Staff did not like this at first but once it was implemented it has worked well.

Specializes in LTC, Subacute Rehab.

The nursing department at my college wears white for clinicals.. it seems most people pick white scrubs, but dresses are allowed. I have two rather nice white nursing dresses that are a heavy but soft cotton twill. I altered the sleeves to be not so puffy.

I'm going to train as a CNA in LTC once I turn 18, and I'll probably wear those, but dye them blue.

At the LTC centre where my mother works, the nurses tend to wear print tops with solid bottoms, any colour scheme, or those blouse-ish tops (a tunic?) with trousers.

I just have a personal tic with wearing trousers - don't mind them on other people, but I look very strange and feel naked :o

Specializes in Pain Management, FNP, Med/Surg, Tele.

At my job the nurses have to wear ceil blue and white in any combination. The CNAs wear burgundy and the service attendants wear navy blue. They just enforced this uniform policy at the beginning of this year and I hate it because I have a closet full of various colors and prints at home some of which I haven't worn as yet and then I had to go buy a whole new set. What makes it worse is that we do not even get a uniform allowance. Go figure :uhoh3:

Specializes in icu.

At my hospital there are certain departments that have specific colors (cath lab, or, angio), otherwise we can wear any color or print.

Does anyone know a good website or catalog that carries scrubs at discounted prices?

I use http://www.uniformcity.com/ . Good prices, sales, discounts. Wide selection. I've never had a problem with them either.
