I just want to know what is the recent 2015 RN pay per hour
Boston, MA-New Grad, PDN. 27.00/hour, with 2.00 differential. It's per diem, so no benefits, but I'm in progress of my BSN (graduated with ADN in May). Considering new grads at MGH with BSNs start off at 16.00/hour in their new grad program, then compete for staff positions? I will take it.

No doubt!!! I'm floored at the $16 thing!!!! I can't imagine someone offering that and not getting laughed at!! I got that as a new grad in 1995...in Nebraska. And I am certain our cost of living is a fraction of what it is in Boston.
A dollar goes a long way here...we live quite comfortably....I don't know how folks get by on minimum wage. Especially in expensive parts of the country. But I guess it is what it is. Heck I can remember in college, I survived on maybe $1000 a month. Needless to say, I did not live comfortably. Ate a lot of spaghettios and fish sticks. It's funny how you get used to things. I can remember when $300 was like winning the lottery.
I work in Richmond, CA as a home health RN level 2, and the pay's competitive to yours. my base right now is 67/hr, with full benefits. I also frequently try to take advantage of the time and a half pay for every day that I work more than 7 days straight, and on those runs, I make about $104/hr. My last run was 31 days straight, and I grossed roughly $23,000 (it helps that my department is only open 9-5pm, so it was doable). I plan to do this for about 12 more weeks and drop down to 40hrs/week, so I can break 200,000 this year. It's weird because I'm not even the top earner in this area. I know a couple nurses (in the CA prison system), who work approx 60-70 hrs a week, and take home over 300,000 year. But these individuals are highly motivated, and work weird hours. I don't think I'm ready for that. I definitely have to thank the CNA for this setup. For those outside of CA, I totally think you all deserve this type of pay. Nursing isn't easy, and I feel that the rest of the country's RNs are getting cheated with all the money there is to be had in the healthcare system. Just to give you an example, while the average RN gets paid less than 70,000 in Atlanta, MD's are getting paid nearly 500,000 in the same area. We're all taking from the same pool, isnt it about time that RN's stand up and get a more fair cut than that? Food for thought. But yea, if change is something that you want, I say advocate for unionization.

Buffalo NY area. Small rural hospital- about 28.50 base with 3 years experience. Our differentials are terrible. I think like 50 cents/hr for weekend and .75 for eves/nights. If that. I am per diem and make $4 more an hour for weekend hours beyond my requirement of one weekend shift per 6 weeks. The bigger hospitals in Buffalo start new grads at around $27-$28 not including differentials.
