The Rittenhouse trial has begun in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The prosecution is presenting first, but apparently the defense argument will be self-defense. So a 17 year old travels out of state with his rifle to a demonstration because he fears for his life?

He was a victim but not a Saint or a person that should have elaborate statues and monuments erected in his memory. He didn't deserve to die however his life wasn't lived in a virtuous manner or anywhere near a role model.
Chauvin killed floyd for the reasons he was convicted of. If you are asking me because Floyd was black? The answer is no. There is no evidence to suggest Chauvin did what he did because he was racist.
It doesn't appear that the prosecution made any attempt to compare Floyd to Jesus.
Apparently what happened was that a listed expert witness had at some time in the past pointed out that the manner of death in crucifixion is asphyxiation (seems like a stretch) and didn't want him pointing that out again.
I've noticed every time you point something out, finding where you got that leads to various places that are best described as 'sketchy'.
I haven't heard any claims that Floyd should be seen as a role model, he's a guy that didn't deserve to be murdered by a group of police officers.

In other words, what you said previously about George Floyd was inflammatory crap. And since you didn't understand the question I'll point out that I wasn't insinuating that Floyd was killed because of racism...I was pointing out that you can't say why Chauvin killed Floyd except that it clearly had nothing to do with Floyd's religion. I did that because you didn't know what that word "martyr" meant but used it to describe that victim in an attempt to be provocative. Misusing language and words to generate animus and conflict is a really popular tactic among propagandists. Why do you emulate that here?
Apparently Rittenhouse is hitting the interview circuit, starting with Tucker Carlson.

That's not surprising really...Tucker supported Rittenhouse immediately last year and had been since.
QuoteOn "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Wednesday, the talk show host appeared to justify Rittenhouse's actions, saying it's understandable given violence and chaos in the city.
"We do know why it happened, though. Kenosha devolved into anarchy because the authorities abandoned the people," Carlson said. "Those in charge, from the governor on down, refused to enforce the law. They’ve stood back and watched Kenosha burn. Are we really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder?"
That was a quote the week of the killings.

A poster here implied the same thing that Kenosha was destroyed. As if the violence was totally ignored and allowed to completely destroy the town. This rhetoric by Carlson is important because it justifies the idea that Rittenhouse is a hero. To me that's the dark side of the republicans rising. He's no hero.
There was a state of emergency and the national guard was called out. Doesn't sound like anarchy and the state abandoning the people to the point that a teenager needed to step in and be all heroic.

That's how propaganda works...creating a false narrative to benefit your cause and inflame a targeted group.
Tucker is just a piece of the media that is indoctrinating a poorly informed and gullible portion of our society. We'd just leave them to it if it wasn't so toxic and dangerous to our republic.

Yes. The judge would not allow it.

The judge would not allow a comparison between George and Jesus. I mean seriously? Jesus?
Nancy Phonie thanked George for "sacrificing his life. Giant sculpters with his face suggest he is something of role model or figure.
No. He did not deserve to die. I'm happy these police will be held accountable. I have to say it tho..... perhaps if he wasn't behaving I the manner he was? Or didn't go commit a crime that day or in any period of his life? Seems this whole thing could have been prevented had poor choices were not made. May he RIP.

I knew what martyr means. Likening him to Jesus Christ and parading him around with giant sculptures could be simular to a martyr .
I said no lies. Sorry if they hurt your feelings.
I really do not care if you think I am a propagandists. Coming from someone who says they are on here with the name baloney because of" too much baloney" yet pays a $30 platinum member fee says everything about you and your character. And what it is that you are full of!!

That's not what was at issue in that trial. Did you watch the streamed trial? I understand how right wing commentators and agitators describe these type of things, but I also know what the evidence and testimony and objections and arguments actually included.

I didn't ask you if you cared that you emulated propagandists or if you cared what I think. Mischaracterizing things is another tool of propagandists.
Not that it's any of your business or at all relevant to the topic, but the platinum membership was a gift.

I never said it was part of the trial. The judge would not allow that testimony . For whatever reason I feel bad about my comment about your membership. You probably just want your opinion heard as do I. No shame in that. My apologies.

It doesn’t matter if it was his community or not (his Dad lived there and he was there often to see family, it was 20mim from his mothers house) or whether Rosenbaum touched him or not. It matters what the law says. Rosenbaum threatened to kill Rittenhouse, chased him and did not stop even while Kyle was yelling “friendly friendly” and tried to grab Kyles gun. The jury agreed with the defense teams evidence, end of story!
The town was literally on fire and destroyed, that is not paranoia.
The town he lived in was not on fire and detroyed. Kenosha was not destroyed. So, when the relative of a patient threatened me verbally (this happened twice to me) I should have taken out a gun a shot that person and get off using a self-defense plea? You are merely reflecting the hysterica of the super right wing media that you cite here.
