The Rittenhouse trial has begun in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The prosecution is presenting first, but apparently the defense argument will be self-defense. So a 17 year old travels out of state with his rifle to a demonstration because he fears for his life?

So, when the relative of a patient threatened me verbally (this happened twice to me) I should have taken out a gun a shot that person and get off using a self-defense plea? You are merely reflecting the hysterica of the super right wing media that you cite here.
Nah. It was only a little bit on fire! Oh and the people's business that were completely destroyed, doesn't matter. Their lives don't matter.
You are a health care professional. Such a false equivalency. Kyle was not just "threatened verbally twice". Can you honestly say if a patient got you cornered in a room beating you that you wouldn't defend your life? Or start to after the first blow? Really?

He claims he's on here because of "so much baloney" so I was confused as to why he would pay to be on a forum with an platinum membership where he claims has "too much baloney".
I got irritated with his usual ad hominem attempts. I should not have said it, I felt bad and apologized. Mkay?

The business was insured and the owners' lives are intact, that's their testimony. Do you recall the evidence introduced that detailed Rittenhouse's injuries sustained in the "beating" or attack? I know there's video that shows him getting struck by a skateboard and possibly kicked. How were his injuries described afterwards?

The judge would not allow a comparison between George and Jesus. I mean seriously? Jesus?
Nancy Phonie thanked George for "sacrificing his life. Giant sculpters with his face suggest he is something of role model or figure.
No. He did not deserve to die. I'm happy these police will be held accountable. I have to say it tho..... perhaps if he wasn't behaving I the manner he was? Or didn't go commit a crime that day or in any period of his life? Seems this whole thing could have been prevented had poor choices were not made. May he RIP.
You're describing it as though someone attempted to compare him to Jesus, which didn't happen .
The prosecution asked the judge to preemptively prohibit that comparison in the event that someone did try to make the comparison.
You might ask, why would a prosecution ask for a ruling on something didn't even happen? It then gets mixed into the story but the important detail that it didn't actually happen gets lost. Mission successful.

Why do you think that some of us believe that people shouldn't have the right to protect their property? Do you believe that lethal force is the first, only or best way to protect against loss of property? Are guns the best solution to these type concerns?
An Interesting thing about property versus life...property can be replaced, remodeled, rebuilt, redesigned or upgraded and lives cannot. Most businesses have insurance to cover economic loss from theft, vandalism or arson. That's why I didn't include the personal/business loss when comparing to January 6. Businesses have insurance. Brandishing a deadly weapon to protect commercial property is discouraged in cultures that claim to value life. My culture values life over money or property, does yours?
The only people wounded or killed that night were shot by Rittenhouse.
Does the "life" your culture values have to be older than 9 months and or 40 weeks?

The judge would not allow him to be described as such so that's not the definition of "attempt"?
Or they didn't actually attempt it in court? Because they were not permitted to. What?

I'm guessing that your comment is referring to gestational age of a fetus. If that's the case then I would respond no they don't have to be older than 9 months or 40 weeks. That was a cheap deflection to another of your emotional triggers rather than staying on topic, though.
Maybe you just don't have anything else to say about this specific subject and can't answer the direct questions posed.

No they didn't attempt to do what you think they tried to do. You've been misled.

They have to be one minute into 1 day old?
Yeah. It was a cheap shot. Oh well.....I'm sure you won't be crying over it.

No attempt was made to compare him to Jesus.
Back to the role model / martyr issue, I don't think it's been argued he's a role model, but I don't think "martyr" applies either, more accurately his death was emblematic of an ingoing concern.
