What you did was licensure by endorsement, right?.... so you mean to say AZ issued you a license even without SSN. That's nice to know.

yes my license for AZ was an endorsement and is sat in my filing cabinet in the UK but will definately need a SSN to renew it next year

Thanks Anna for the information.Do they require a specific number of year/s as residency before you can transfer to another state? It gave me confidence that I could stay near my parents me working in Ohio and my family in Michigan. All the best.......

Please be aware that Ohio will require you to go thru the CES process before you will be permitted to endorse. Suggest that you just go thru them for initial licensure in the first place, it will actually be faster for you to do that.

Licenses do not transfer, they are endorsed only, and that also means that you must meet the requirements of the new state. You are not required to spend anytime in a state where you hold a license.

But suggest that you really take the time to read the requirements for licensure in the state where you actually wish to work, and not focus on VT because you think that it will be quicker. It can actually take you much longer to endorse to them, then going thru them in the first place.

Hi and welcome to the site

I would suggest doing a good search on here and the Phillipine forum as this has been asked a few times and I am sure there is a thread already answering this.

:welcome:

Hi, you need to take and pass the NLE since one of the requirements is for you to submit a copy of your license to Vermont BON. Check www.ncsbn.org

You don't have to even have a local (foreign) license to apply to Vermont. Just write "no" in the application and put an explanation in your covering letter.

i know this thread was from a long time ago but i NEED help!! who do i address the letter of explanation to? thanks!!!

Nothing to do now except wait. I would suggest using this time to prepare yourself for NCLEX. Do not apply to Pearsonvue just yet, wait until you recieve permission to sit exam

thank you..

can you please tell me how long it takes for me to receive my permission to sit exam???

hard to say how long as it depends on whether they get all your documentations in a nice orderly manner but probably looking a a few months. Have a read through these comments in this thread you may get an idea on time
