  1. Where can you get CEUs to maintain IL RN license? Especially for those not living in US?
  2. I have a friend, just finished her MA degree via student visa paid by a teaching hospital in US and went back to our home country to visit her ailing father. She's back to US now after a couple of weeks.
  3. I wish your "friend" would be caught and deported.
  4. She's in New zealand.
  5. Let me share you this. I've just chatted with a friend, she's waiting for US retro to be lifted and tried working in another country while waiting. She absolutely loved the country she is currently working at now prays that her US visa be denied when the time comes.
  6. I agree to that. It would even take years to read and write japanese characters....probably more years than taking up nursing. Not a wise idea.
  7. How about M1 to GC via unskilled worker?
  8. My friend's passport, school records had "Misa" as her first name. When She applied to PRC for the local board, she found out that her name in the birth certificate was "Miza". What she did was she just go by what is in the the birth certificate. When she renewed her passport, she got a copy of the birth certificate and requested her name to be changed to "Miza". The same thing with the school records... she requested the registrars of her previous schools to change her name with the one indicated in her birth certificate.
  9. I haven't worked yet in any of those countries you've mentioned but just had a friend who is now back in the Philippines to retire for good after working as an RN in US. He said he is burnt out working as an RN and wants to enjoy the remaining years of his life here in PI.
  10. If you have have an expired passport with a valid visa, then there's no problem if you're going to US, just show the new passport with the old one(I did it once). But, for some countries, you need to have the visa transfered from the old passport to the new one. I haven't encountered with someone like your situation but in my opinion, you have to contact the concerned embassy since having a corrected name in a new passport would mean another person and of course, different identity. Might as well ask the consul.
  11. I don't have any idea how it looks like but I have seen a machine readable passport from other Asian country and there is still an area where you're signature is printed.
  12. I had my ATT 48 hours after registering with pearson.
  13. I suggest if you started processing for Ireland, then go for it than to start from step 1 for New Zealand. It will save time and money.
  14. Sorry for the late reply. Yes, I'm via consular processing right now. Waiting here in PI.
  15. All I can say is Philippines is ran by thieves, ....and now they are going after the nurses.
