i feel that since a lot of nurses are now going abroad- everybody who just wants to go abroad even if they dont like nursing as a profession are now wanting to be one. nursing schools are like mushrooms now.... the quality of nursing education can either be bad or maybe if there will be more competition then quality of education would improve. they say that someday philippines will be lacking of good nurses; but i want to disagree on since its a continuous process-- we send good nurses abroad then 2 or 3 more will replace her place here since we are producing a lot now! another ray of light... since there is an exodus of filipino nurses, there is a trend that parents wants their children to be a nurse. once enrolled in school, these student nurses will know and practice the value of good health.. and they could share their knowledge to those people around them-- who knows,, maybe thats our purpose -- to share our knowledge not just to our fellow filipinos but to the whole world! Good health management would alter everything!!!! :smilecoffeecup:

complimentary tickets are supposed to be complimentary... and having that huge profit by the PRC or the BON would be such a shame if it is all true. I hope people will realize how things can get sleazy... and try to do something about it.

HELP!! I am so anxious! What should I do? I have already filed my application for NCLEX RN and just waiting for my elegibility to take the test. There is a discrepancy in my name in my passport. I asked the department of foreign affairs on how to change it and they said since I will be renewing it, I will be having no problem. But now heres my major problem-- I still have 3 valid visas in it and one of it is my US visa. If I will have my passport changed -- I might lose or apply for new ones! Do you have any idea if I could just present my birth certificate, national ID or something together with my passport (refering that I am the same person) so I could take my NCLEX ? **Please .. I really need your help. thanks.

hi again. i agree with you regarding having a ssn doesnt mean you can work but im not going to use my ssn if i will be applying for a job since i cannot ( its indicated in my card that i can't be allowed) but would it be okay for me to use that number for my application for nclex? Sorry if i asked it again because of fear of legalities you know.. and another follow up, do you have an idea how long will it take me to adjust my ssn status to legally work? is that another process like getting a new one? ohh.. and John 83, its even better for you if you dont have ssn i guess.. coz it just makes things even complicated. (just my opinion)

hi. i'm in the philippines ryt now. i have acquired a california ssn years ago (not yet expired) but it says on the card that it is not valid for work. i am now trying to fill in my application form to california BON for nclex application. some people say that once you have ssn its lifetime thereby, can i write my SSN in the blank provided, or should i apply for another ssn? im confused.. hope somebody could help me. thanks.
