You're just starting out, you're supposed to suck....the important thing is that when you get feedback about how you suck, you use that to grow and learn (your CI doesn't hate you, they're trying to help you develop your skills). This is your time to suck!!! Use it to become the best nurse you can :-)

Why am I here if you believe I should perform with the high level of critical thinking skills as an ER nurse? Maybe you should try to remember how many times you faltered as a nursing student.

Speak english, PLEASE! (I really cannot stand nurses and student nurses that either don't speak to patients or speak to patients in broken english that NO ONE can understand!)

I feel like I will get through nursing school (if I get through it) just by luck, and not actually know anything because I can pass tests without reading the books :-X ; the teachers stress how much of a self-directed program it is, and they don't really teach.

Before you demonstrate a new procedure in lab, make sure you have what you need so you don't have to stop and go find something over and over again confusing the heck out of us, we can not pay attention to the details when your running around, AND stop getting mad when we keep coming to you for clarification so we can perform it in check offs!!!!!! :madface: grrrrrrrrrrr.
