  2. Why can't we just be different and wear what we want? Ah rules gotta love them.
  3. I have heard Ti's are overkill, go cheap is what I have heard.
  4. Lock myself in my room, forget about ADHD and go at it. :)
  5. Take an elective, such as music.
  6. 180 chick. Thanks for the info. I have been getting ready every day. I can do ratio and proportion in my sleep at this point, im just ready to start. Erikson's 8 stages I have here in a book somewhere, ill find it and review..thanks again for the info.
  7. Ok everyone so I will start nursing school this fall, first of September. (can we say big relief!!!) Does anyone have advice on things I will need so I can get a head start. I have a packet on learning the ratio method for dosing the school provided (that i will go through after my summer prob and stats course). I already have a laptop for notes. What things are universal that I can go ahead and purchase? Any and ALL advice would be great, I am ready to start this thing!
  8. Ok so here is my opinion. If we shared every pain complaint with the RN or supervisor on staff they would tell us to come to them with only the serious problems. As a student you could have took her BP, checked pulse, ect. Which you probably did anyways im assuming. If you didn't ask her any other questions about her pain then it is most likely not your calling, but like I said im assuming you did talk to her about her pain. Your nursing instructor is a ....well can't type that here. You can A) Complain that she singled you out. B) Bite the bullet. If you do complain on her she will have it out for you none the less. For her to question your leadership is total crap! Let her serve our country and then she can discuss your abilities. Keep your head up, your grades up, and don't let her cut you down. One thing I have to say though is that the reason she probably singled you out was because of HIPAA. Instructors will boot you from the program for a mistake like that at most schools. So take it as a chip on the shoulder as this is most likely why she was so mad.
  9. PA is a good profession but also look at NP's. They have a lot more freedom and can work on their own without supervision in most states. As a PA you will ALWAYS answer to a Physician.
  10. Yea i figured my days of freedom to hunt and fish are gone for a loonngg time! lol. Good to hear male nurses are liked, I hear i have a good sense of humor so hopefully this will be a good thing with my future patients!
  11. I will be at the main campus in Harrogate. I have heard they can be disorganized and I also heard that a lot of students don't make it past the 1st. semester because of the 80% or better rule. Did you find this to be true? Also have you heard anything about their NP program? The NP program is my long term goal, but one step at a time of course .
  12. I got into LMU! I am really excited and a bit nervous as well. I will be getting my ASN and already have all the classes needed for my BSN as well, of course other than the nursing classes. I have a 3.6gpa as of now and good study skills. Any tips I should be aware of. Also, how do the women reading this feel about male nurses. Thanks for any advice and God bless!
  13. 21 bucks an hour?? You are getting the shaft! Jobs in TN start at min. 25
