  1. @lcra hey, thanks for the info!! has anyone heard back regarding the CEP?
  2. Did anyone actually have a color vision test done? My optometrist said it isn't part of the standard eye exam, and I really don't want to have to pay for another exam ?
  3. Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some info for those still needing titers/TB done that are paying out of pocket. It's pretty pricey and pretty consistently priced at all of the labs. I randomly found the Contra Costa Community Outreach Lab in Antioch and was able to get all titers and the blood TB test done for $184 total. Just wanted to pass it along. See you all at orientation!
  4. I'm really happy to hear that because I'm literally driving there now!
  5. Thanks everyone for sharing the info you have! Did anyone who walked in go to a location that was not the one they chose when placing the order? I ordered mine for Pinole, but I do see they specify appts being needed for drug screens. I was thinking I would just drive to the one in Napa that I've been to before buuuuuut I can't reach them on the phone to ask if they'll accept the order ? also…… how is this an issue. Like, if it's a problem for everyone why not adjust the timeframe they give you? Seems so obvious LOL
  6. @MamaW I'll try that email! I emailed the generic email they have but haven't heard back so fingers crossed this one works. I've been periodically checking all of the labs to see if anything opens up as well. Thanks!!
  7. Did anyone order the drug screening yet? I ordered mine and they don't have any appointments within 50 miles before it expires ? I couldn't reach anyone via phone with the compliance company or labs. Has anyone else had this issue?
  8. Hey I think someone already mentioned that the deadline to accept was 6/17. They haven't sent out the info on all of the requirements and when they need to be done. I think they'll send that info out on Monday. I think you still have a chance to get in, don't lose hope! I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you!
  9. Nooo! I am so bummed for you! Are you far down the list?
  10. @Tara.M Yes! That's me! I would definitely try to do the concurrent enrollment. I'm definitely still leaning toward LMC (if I get in) but I'm not as sure as I was before preceptorship thing came up.
  11. @Tara.M I'm group 1, I'm pretty sure I did talk to you! My name is Lara, I remember the Tara/Lara thing ? and yes, I've only submitted what I have to via castlebranch. I think I read LMC does their orientation in early august. It also looks like they don't require as much as EB.
  12. @Tara.M I'm so torn after going to orientation ? I didn't realize they had actual preceptorships as well as some of the other internship opportunities they have. That's a really big pull for me as I'd like to work in a specialty (ED). But the commitment to commuting is difficult. How about you?
  13. That's a good question, and I'm glad you brought it up! IDK why I just assumed if I retake it at LMC they will have access to my first score if it ends up being higher... I will reach out to them next week to ask and come back with any info I get! If you figure it out first let us know LOL
  14. @Lily Beltran I'm not the best at traditional study methods, I typically do best with practice tests with actual questions to answer. I did several different TEAS practice tests but I found the one on Nurse Hub to be the best. You can download each section as a PDF. I go through and take the test then use the answer key to "grade" it. There is a detailed explanation for every question so the questions I got wrong I review the explanation. If I still don't really get it I'll look at other resources for more info on it. I hope that makes sense!
