It is satire and not at all funny and there is a small grain of truth in it.I think it is moderately accurate portrayal of a few nurses and support staff that I have met and how they dressed, spoke and conducted themselves.
Your photo isn't exactly helping the public perception either.
I thought it was just me who found it offensive.
I'm not offended but I didn't think it was funny. There's so much more that they could have done with over the top nurse satire that we could have really identified with. They could have gone with more gallows humor to start, not indifference.
I don't have my finger on the pulse of nursing being somewhat isolated in my little bubble where that routine doesn't remotely represent the people I work with and we still have a more traditional image with our patients.

I agree completely. I thought the premise was full of potential. I'd love to see nursing and nurses skewered and satirized in a smart and funny way.
Unfortunetly, this skit just wasn't funny. Not in a "I'm offended" sense, more in a "it's just not humorous" sense. Plus, as I said, Amy is obviously equating the MAs at her doctor's office with nurses.... and doing so unintentionally, without any apparent irony.... which is just tiresome.

There's usually some truth in humor and wondering if this any indication that the public perception of nurses are changing. It's definitely not a positive portal of nurses and hopefully not a future trend.
