"Likes" define my value

Published

I turned off my "like" notifications yesterday. I forgot that I turned them off. All day today, every time I logged in, I was mildly disappointed that I had no "like"s. Then I remembered that I turned off notifications.

I have turned them back on. I guess I need that validation.

:)

On the app, I don't see alllllll the smilies, just some of them. I see the one you posted above as :ninja:

That's what I thought. Oh well. :(

I read a comment from one of the nurses wanting to be a Independent provider for Ohio, ummm I have been an IP since 1999 by far this is the worst year EVER!! it's a complete mess!!!! everyone that works under the my care Ohio has not been paid in months it's crazy and if Anyone knows a trick to how we can get paid let me know please. we are now going to congress with the family I work for, I am about to be late on every thing I kind of own ( if I go another 2 we without pay I own nothing!) my advice is ifs you can get a case that's strictly traditional Medicaid you will be fine, but good luck , there are none out there, sorry Tracey

I hate the reputation system. They used it on one of the online game forums (real controversial stuff about gnomes and clearing imaginary woodland). If someone made a complaint about the game a number of people would downvote their reputation so their next posts had to have moderator approval, even if it was completely innocuous. It just irritated people and they left.

I thought I was alone in my like-addiction! I have occasionally thought briefly of writing some like-bait when my likes dwindle but I haven't done so yet!

:[anb]:

Lol!! "Like-bait". Haha, that's awesome! :)

I admit, I like seeing the notifications, too. It's nice, though, to be able to follow up on a post where someone quoted you, since there's no other notification for that. I wish there was.

I have my subscription settings such that I get automagically subscribed to every thread I post in. That way, if someone quotes me, I'll know about it because the thread will be in my subscriptions.

It's not perfect (I also get notified if ANYone posts in that thread, even if they didn't quote me), but it's better than nothing.

You can Get around this by typing the characters yourself.

I'm sure I do, too!

Funny thing: at work last night I was googling info about a Pts dx and I saw that someone else had googled all nurses with a query r/t our new electronic system at work. Haha! I guess everyone loves AN!
