75 questions, got the bad pop up

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi everyone! I've been reading so many topics on here about my current predicament.

decided to just post.

I took my NCLEX exam for the first time on 7/6/2017 In Southern CA

my computer stopped at 75 questions with 20 SATAs (I made sure to take note of how many I got)

I thought I even got the last question right.

before I even before took my exam I was already researching about results since CA doesn't offer quick results, so I know fairly well about the PVT.

I did it right when I got the Pearson Vue email. I used a Visa card that we got as a refund from my cable provider. BAD POP UP. as in the card was declined and to contact the bank(I used correct details) Then I used my moms credit card with the wrong exp date, declined. later wells fargo contacted her saying someone attempted to use her card.

I tried to keep hope that maybe I was one of the few that got the bad pop up but passed anyway but its hard to when I keep trying and I keep getting the bad pop up even 24+ hours later.

I checked breeze too since everyone said to check application status. Mine doesn't say pending anymore.

Under manage applications it says, Registered Nurse RN File #blahblah, with drop down options saying -RN exam repeat and change of address. Nothing in the License/Registration Information.

I just don't know what to do anymore. Im just feeling really down.

because I failed at 75 questions meaning I mustve messed up so badly it didn't even let me take the 190 questions left.

TL;DR

Feeling really down, took the nclex, stopped at 75q then got the bad pop up.

From what I've heard, the PVT is an accurate indicator for good popups - I have never heard of someone getting the good popup who ended up not passing. On the other hand, the bad popup may be inconclusive. I tested last week and got the bad popup, then got the update on state BON website that I failed the next day. However, there have been reports of people getting the bad popup who ended up passing; whether this is due to a computer glitch, result of later exam review, or maybe doing the PVT wrong. So imo try to not stress out too much about it, because a bad popup may not be an accurate predictor. At this point, whatever happens happens.

:zombie: If you did not receive a "good pop-up" more than likely you did not pass. It is very accurate, I failed NCLEX twice! Some people are just not good test takers, have anxiety, ADHD, familial problems, and so on....the stress can cloud your brain and consume your thoughts. Life happens! If you failed it is not the end of the world, just pick yourself up and start reviewing your weak points and complete the UWORLD test bank. Go into the test determined to finish all 265! You can do it! Just stay positive!

Thank you but I don't wanna keep my hopes up anymore :(

also did you take yours in CA? If so how do you find out right out from the bon?

whats stressing me out the most is that I've always been a good test taker..:(

I finished the whole uworld qbank and the assessment said I had a high chance of passing but I guess it gave me too much hope and Its hard to get back up but thank you!

ill have to wait for them not tell me my weak points now I guess

Hey don't bring yourself down until it's confirmed you've actually failed. There are numerous testimonies on here that clearly specify that the PVT gave them a bad pop up and they passed. PVT is NOT accurate. At any cost, failing the nclex is not the end of the world. You got it next time. Goodluck

aww thank you! but even my breeze account doesn't say pending anymore so I don't know..

but thank you I really do appreciate the support in times like this!

In my vague recollection, it does not sound like you got the bad popup or the good popup, you just gave them bad credit card info.

My results posted on a Sunday, hopefully yours will post soon. Please let us know how you did. Good luck!

That's what I was thinking. The "bad" pop up isn't a pop up, it's simply a re-registration. They did not let you re-register, so you did not get the bad pop up. The good pop up simply says that you have recently scheduled the exam and cannot schedule another at this time.

I thought the bad popup was that you are able to reschedule your NCLEX again?

I passed at 75 and got the good pop-up. I didnt find it reassuring though.
