Question numbers in the NCLEX?

I remember that mine were numbered, but they were in one of the corners of the screen-not where I'd usually look for a question number.

Ok, this might appear to bea "strange" question.

When I took my NCLEX - all I had was questions, options and a timer in the upper-right corner.

My questions were NOT numbered.

Neither did they tell me how many questions I had remaining.

So I really had no idea how many questions I had answered. During the test I was so nervous that I didn't bother about it - initially. When I hit the 1 hour mark, I stopped and actually thought - "Whoa! Wait a minute! How many questions did I actually answer??!!"

I spoke to a few classmates once I found my results and they told me that I was mistaken - their NCLEX exams had question numbers on them.

So answer the question: Did your NCLEX exam have question numbers? Or any indicator as to how many questions you had answered? Or how many were remaining? :)

I'd find it hard to believe, if not impossible, that only your test did not have numbered questions and all your classmates did!

That said, you'd have had to look at the very bottom right-hand corner to have seen them. They were not up near the questions at all, nor near the answers. Bottom right, so you'd have had to look for them. IT didn't say "Question #" or anything. Just digits.

The numbers for my test were in the bottom right hand corner it small print. I only looked because after an hour I took a breath and looked down and saw it. I was more focused on answering the questions then the number, I guess I was too nervous to look. I did look when I sensed it was the end, and I was on question 83. I answered one or two more then I got to the blue screen. I passed on the first time

Ditto for me... The numbers were down at the right bottom corner of the screen. I was so nervous that I did not pay much attention to the numbers. However, I did get more-so nervous once I realized I had answered over 75 questions, dreading the moment I would be shut off. I got shut off several minutes after #83...possibly at 90-100. I about had heart failure at shut down, thinking NO NO its too early to shut me down! You have no idea how relieved I was when I learned that I passed!

The numbers for my test were in the bottom right hand corner it small print. I had 75 questions in all, when I answered question 73, the computer give me a break, and when I return I only did 2 more question and the computer shut of at 75, the girl that brought me in from my break was surprise when I had my hand up so she could bring me out, what a feeling.:monkeydance:

Like everyone else's, mine were small digits with no explanation in the bottom right hand corner. It was a while before I'd found them...I wasn't looking early on though...

I guess the answer for the OP (and the other two people who checked "no" on the poll) is that we all had the same NCLEX.

Small number in lower right hand corner denoted the question number tester was on, screen by screen, for every test-taker.

Same with me. In the right lower corner of the screen

the questions were not numbered on the screen but in the bottom right hand corner the test question number was present.

The upper right hand corner had a timer counting backwards from 6 hours. The bottom right hand corner had the question number, it said Item 1, Item 2, Item 3, ... Item 75.

Ditto...bottom right hand screen. Tried to avoid looking at it the majority of the time.
