Good grief. America's Frontline Doctors, a group of quacks who claim to know more than actual experts are pushing the use of ineffective parasite med to prevent and or treat COVID.

On a personal note, my hubby works for a farm store and has overheard customers explaining to each other how to dose animal wormer for people. This is in a community that is anti-mask, anti-vaccine, let's just all get infected. Up until, you know, they need hospitalization .

Not the part where we have millions of mentally ill sharing bizarre delusions. Unfortunately, those folks also vote. But, I am OK if they stick with their convictions and free up some much needed hospital space.
I was thinking the same thing. Everyone deserves to have a voice in their care and if that is what they want, even after being educated extensively then that's what they should do. save the bed for someone who wants to be treated.

The problem is not that people are taking ivermectin...the problem is that people are self medicating using the retail accessible veterinary preparations. There's nothing disingenuous in that discussion.
What is actually disingenuous is to lead people to believe that they can prevent or treat covid infection by ingesting ivermectin.
Again I blame mainstream media. Every time they do a story to talk about how FOX News is pushing it, they call it a horse de wormer, and while it is also that, they know full well FOX is not talking about the horse one, so people think oh that will work, let me go buy it. I have actually had to tell people that Fox news is not pushing that one, in the office, and they don't believe me because CNN or MSNBC or Seth Myers said they were. I said please if you are going to think about even trying to get it, please look at the actual article from FOX and not take the word of some other station, it could cause you serious harm, that amount isn't meant for humans it is not save.
Please CNN stop getting people sick by spreading misinformation. Regardless of whether it works or not, cleared or not, you are not even informing people of the right drug, and they should be ashamed of that.

No free to believe in what they think it right. I do agree though that they assume all responsibilities if they leave.

So? Ivermectin in any formulation is not a recognized or recommended treatment for covid. People HAVE taken the veterinary meds because they are widely available over the counter. What mainstream media do you know that is encouraging the use of Invermectin?

Well, it does cull the weakest minds from the herd which is the job of the virus to leave the remaining herd more fit.

My spouse mentioned just the other day that as the people choose to gamble with covid illness and death, instead of vaccinating, they are raising the average IQ of their region...indirectly.

Here's an NP prescribing it, take a gander. Her comment at the end is quite sad

What's sad is more than 9000 texans have died in August and September, nearly 40% of them under the age of 60.
Of course it's from Texas:( A doubt very seriously that an NP is taking care of "seriously ill" Covid patients in an outpatient setting. She looks like she's dressed for going on a hot date to the disco. Sorta like the poor man's Melania. Shame on Fox for putting giving her air time.....but at least she's doing it in Texas and not in my state:) I wonder if, by the end of this, Texas will be in the same position as Alabama with a net loss of population after Covid.
