    Hysterectomy

Alright, my friend did her hysterectomy yesterday. Everything went fine. They dont think its cancerous, they said its a fibroid and was 5 inches by 9 inches. They said they do not know how she managed to go through that pain because the thing was so big. She should be home by Friday or Saturday

    Uterian cancer, please help

Thank you so much. My friend goes to the doctor on Wednesday, Im not sre what they are going to do. The doctor told her that as far as they know the cancer has not spread or gotten into her lymph nodes. Her doctor is at Vanderbilt in Nashville so shes at a real good place. Everyone keeps telling me cancer is not a death sentence. Im trying to have faith. I keep saying to myself shes going to be ok, God will take care of her. God is the ultimate doctor. Im not sure if they've caught it early or not, I didnt ask. I'll keep you updated when she goes to the doctor on Wednesday. Thanks for the support. Destany

    Uterian cancer, please help

Hi, I have a woman who I talk to. Shes 40 years old and was just diagnoised with uterian cancer and is scared to death. She had a ct scan done and they said the mass was 3inches by 7inches. Im not sure if they caught it early or not, she didnt say. What I wanted to know is how deadly is it? What is the chance of being cured? What is the probability of her living? I love her to death and dont want to lose her. Ive been bawling my eyes out ever since she told me. Im 16 years old and met her over the internet. We talk almost every day either on the phone or msn. Ive known her for a year and shes like a second mom to me, I tell her everything. I dont know what id do without her. Im in tears as im writing this. I cant believe this is happening to her. Destany

    Information on Nashville

Hi, Im a sophomore in high school and Im looking at colleges in Nashville. Im seriously considering moving to Nashville when I graduate from high-school. Actually Im past considering, I am moving to Nashville after high-school. Ive been looking at different colleges in Nashville. I was interested in Lipscomb University because they partnership with Vanderbilt if you want your Masters. The only thing is I don't want to specialize in anything, I just want to be an RN that works on the Labor and Delivery unit. Lipscomb also has a program that you go to Lipscomb for 2 years and then go to another school for 2 years and you get your BSN from that school, such as Belmont. The only problem is that I deeply desire to go to Vanderbilt. So I guess I will either hasve to get a MSN and go to Vanderbilt or just get a BSN without going to Vanderbilt and not specialize in anything. Then I think right after I gradaute high-school I will go to a college in Georgia that way I can use my HOPE scholarship to save a little money. I emailed Lipscomb and they said that I could do 30 hours of pre-reqs and then transfer, I just have to take all of my biology, chemistry, and statistics at Lipscomb. Lord at all the choices. I would like to know how much do different hospitals pay RN, BSN starting off? Thanks for all the help. Destany

    Advice

Hi, Im a sophomore in high-school and I am in the process of looking at colleges. I want to go to a college in Nashville TN. Ive been looking at Lipscomb University. They have a 5 year program that has a partnership with Vanderbilt. You have to do 3 years at Lipscomb then 2 years including summers at Vanderbilt. Or I could choose the 4 year program and go to Lipscomb for 2 years and then another college like Harding University, Belmont University, Tennessee Tech, Austin Peay and others. But I couldnt go to Vanderbilt. I would love to attend Vanderbilt full time but it is just so expensive...............Also what is the major difference between a BSN and a MSN? I know you have to specialize in MSN but what about BSN? Also what is the salary difference between a MSN anda BSN? Thanks for the help.

    Upper GI

I had my upper GI done.....it was so nasty. I had to drink 2 glasses or barium and something else when I was laying down.....they were chalky, one was sour and the other was chalky and sour. I do not do good with tastes so I thought I was going to get sick at any moment. The GI doctor was not friendly. That table was cool though. Thats neat how to can go from laying down to standing up. I do have stomach ulcers. The doctor said it was from stress and worrying so much. She said that a 15 year old shouldnt worry like I do.

    Upper GI

Im 15 and tomorrow I have to have an upper GI done tomorrow. I had severe chest pains on Sunday morning and was rushed to the ER and my temp was 95, my bp was 80-60, they pushed 2 bags of iv fluids in me. I havent eaten hardly anything since Sunday and Im always sleeping. They did bloodwork today at the doctors but Im dehydrated so they couldnt find any good veins in my arms so they stuck me in my hand. That was odd. They either think I have stomach ulcers or somethings wrong with my gallbladder. I just dont see how they could think its my gallbladder. I just need advice for tomorrow. Ive heard that you have to drink barium and baking soda crystals? I have a terrible gag reflex. Im so nervous about tomorrow. Im afraid that I will get so scared that I will pass out.

    Advice

Hi everyone, Im in 10th grade and I take biology, geometry, economics and cp english. Im also in anursing program at school, next year I can be certified as a CNA. Im usually a good student, As and Bs but on my report card I made a 75C in geometry. I had a 62F and in 3 weeks brought it up to a 75. Other than that Ive always been on the honor-roll. I want to become an RN. My dream college to go to is Vanderbilt. I think Im going to start off and go to Valdosta State University and take my core classes and then transfer over to Vandy. I enjoy my nursing class so much. Ive always had an A in it. Ive been ceritifed to give CPR to infants, children and adults. Im just trying to keep my grades up. Geometry is hard and I know you wont use it in nursing but that doesnt mean I can just barely pass because its not useful. I also dont enjoy economics. That stuff goes in one ear and out the other. Its like another language. Im trying my best in school. Im just so afraid that the C in geometry messed up my gpa. In my graduating class of 2008 there are 388 students and out of those 388 students im number 52. Destany

    Seeking Advice

Hi, My name is Destany, Im a sophmore in high school. As of right now I have an 83B in economics, 88 in literature, 95A in biology, 70C in geometry, 92 in health and 95 in nursing. I just got doen taking finals and I know I did excellent on my geometry final so that grade will go up. This is my first C. Anyways........we did class rankings and in my class of 08 there are 388 students, im #52. Im in the top 20%. I want to go to Vanderbilt or Belmont for college. The only thing is Nashville is 8 hours from here. Everyone is against me going. I know Vandy is hard to get into but Im going to try my hardest to make straight A's from now on. If I dont get into Vandy then I want to go to Belmont. I live in GA so Ive been researching scholarships and cant really seem to find what Im looking for. I just got a checking account and at the moment I have $350 in it. I get $20 a week for allowence. Ill turn 16 in December and Ive already been guarenteed a job. So all of that money that I get from my job and I will still be getting allowence, thats the money Im taking with me to college. Im just so lost with getting information from colleges. I need to see what scholarships I can apply for. I know Im going to need to get loans so I need information on that. Sincerely, Destany

    Confused high school student

Hi, My name is Destany, Im a sophmore. I knew that I wanted to be an RN when my niece was born back in 2004. Something about that changed my life. Right now Im doing good in school besides geometry, Ive got a F in geometry but I am normally an AB student. Ive got 3 weeks of this 9 weeks left so Im going to bring it up as high as I can. Please dont let you think that Im a slacker. Im a wonderful student. In my graduating class there are 388 students and in that line up with grades gpa's and whatever else im number 52. So I am in a nursing program at school, Ive been in it since last year and I love it with all my heart. I look forward to that class everyday. I wish I could stay in that class all day. Ive got a 98A in nursing. When I become a Junior next year my nursing teacher can have me certified as a CNA and I can help out at the local nursing home. Then when Im a senior I can work there and be paid. So here are my plans, please i need everyones opinion. I want to go to a community college here and get my associates degree in nursing then this is my goal. I live in Thomasville GA, my goal is to transfer over and go to Vanderbilt University and get my MSN. But the only problem is my family doesnt like the idea. I know its a lot of money, like 44,000 a year right now but my heart is set to going and money isnt an issue. Thats the last thing on my mind. All I know is that with all my heart I want to go to Vanderbilt. Nobody understands that. But this is my goal. Destany
