Hi everyone,
Im in 10th grade and I take biology, geometry, economics and cp english. Im also in anursing program at school, next year I can be certified as a CNA. Im usually a good student, As and Bs but on my report card I made a 75C in geometry. I had a 62F and in 3 weeks brought it up to a 75. Other than that Ive always been on the honor-roll. I want to become an RN. My dream college to go to is Vanderbilt. I think Im going to start off and go to Valdosta State University and take my core classes and then transfer over to Vandy. I enjoy my nursing class so much. Ive always had an A in it. Ive been ceritifed to give CPR to infants, children and adults. Im just trying to keep my grades up. Geometry is hard and I know you wont use it in nursing but that doesnt mean I can just barely pass because its not useful. I also dont enjoy economics. That stuff goes in one ear and out the other. Its like another language. Im trying my best in school. Im just so afraid that the C in geometry messed up my gpa. In my graduating class of 2008 there are 388 students and out of those 388 students im number 52.

Keep up the good work. It's hard think of geometry as anything but math...but it can actually teach you some critical thinking skills that WILL help you in nursing. Geometry teaches you a different way to think about things- and that could help you out a lot.
Good Luck with your plans for school. :)

i'm glad to see you have a plan for your life! i am in nursing school now and i am 38 yrs old, it is great working with people but if you are going to do this you better have a thick skin! my clinical instructor is very intelligent but she can be very mean and insulting. i have read some things on here about experiences with instructors because i was thinking maybe it was just me! but i think it is a hazing they put you through! so be prepared!
