Alright, my friend did her hysterectomy yesterday. Everything went fine. They dont think its cancerous, they said its a fibroid and was 5 inches by 9 inches. They said they do not know how she managed to go through that pain because the thing was so big. She should be home by Friday or Saturday

had a tah-bso in 1990. it was the best thing that ever happened to me. here's more information about them. depending on her age she will probably need to be on hrt (premarin).

i hope your friend is feeling better. i had a radical tah in january. it has taken awhile to recover but i am so glad i did it. hugs to your friend.

Make sure your friend takes the time to allow herself to heal. That does mean no heavy lifting, no pulling, no tugging, no twisting, and NO DRIVING for 4 to 6 weeks. Yep, believe me, the better care she takes of herself now, the better she will feel and less problems she will have down the road.
