One other thought to consider is where you might want to work. Some hospitals require a BSN for entry level nurses (I'm thinking UPenn here in Philly). Good luck with your searching and career change!

Drexel uses GPA as their cutoff. You either have it or not. There pass rates are pretty good. Hope this helps.

Yep, I'm in for fall 2008.

Fou.- I had a least a 3.0 - I'm not quite sure what it was. You can visit Excelsior's website for info about study guides.

Thanks S- Drexel folks were the ones who mentioned Excelsior exams to me. I think I might try it...it would save a little money.

You might call and ask when they will be notifying those accepted into the program, but it can take awhile.

Relax! Perhaps if you do well in your pre-reqs, things will work out. I think Drexel is holding tight to their required 3.0 GPA. To be honest, I have not heard of someone going from the COOP to the ACE...only the other way around. Perhaps you can...

30 somethings??? Try 50 something and then we'll talk! Finishing up my pre-reqs this semester and starting an accelerated BSN in the spring. I'll be 53 when I finish and then it's on to MSN land. Good luck to all of us "mature" students!
