Hello peers! I have two final exams next week to study for, but I'm a the point in the semester where procrastination consumes at least 30% of my time.
While procrastinating, I found this link:
So what are you doing while you're supposed to be getting your stuff done?
I have two presentations this week that I have to make my power points for. One is for Community Health (and is a 15 min presentation) and the other is for Research (a 30 min presentation on my literature review). Since we hand to hand in these papers last week, the bulk of my presentations are done, and just need to be translated into power point.
And I have two ATIs (OB and Peds) to study for.
I am struggling to get a move on and just want to be doneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee already!
Oh yeah, I'm procrastinating! I have my last final EVER on Tuesday morning ..and I just can't bring myself to study for it. I only have to make a 69 to keep my B, so the drive to make a good grade just isn't there. The anxiety is what usually forces me to sit down and focus.
I get pinned on Thursday, go on a week-long cruise next Sunday, then I start packing to move to a new city on Jan 2nd. Sprinkle in the Hurst review and the NCLEX and I've got a nice, full month ahead of me..which is my justification to procrastinate now.
I have a final tomorrow and have maybe managed to eke out 4 hours of studying this weekend. Between allnurses, facebook, email, some nerdy online rpgs, and lots of TV, I've managed to be just too busy to sit down. And then when I did get to studying, I had to send Twitter messages every few minutes about how I was just not feeling the studying.
Why do finals have to be after I'm already so done with the quarter?
I should probably pull myself together and study a bit more.
That video was awesome btw. Here's an oldie but a goodie: http://baetzler.de/humor/how_to_write_paper.html I'm all about #20. I always have existential crises when I have a lot of homework I should be doing.

Lol, that's one reason I deactivated my facebook account for now. I was spending waaay too much time procrastinating there, which is especially awful since I work outside of nursing school and have limited study time as is.
The list is awesome. #20 is the source of a made for TV movie in my world!
Thanks for helping me procrastinate
I should also be studying for my three finals next Tuesday but due to plumbing leaks which tore up both bathrooms plus a major ceiling leak which is displacing the entire patio door frame and has flooded my dining room... yeah.
So I'm doing anything possible to calm down. Studying does not lend to calm. :)

I'm supposed to be studying for my last lecture exam tomorrow, but I'm on here to see if anything interesting is going on.
How funny that the first post I see is exactly what I'm doing!!
Good luck to everybody who is studying for finals!
