I took my test today and the computer shut off after 75 questions. Thats not why i think i failed. I think i failed because i got a lot of content questions like what to look for in hypokalemia, and stuff like that. I kept getting a bunch of meds and i had no clue what they were and i couln't even begin to take an educated guess. Then i had 5 million select all that apply questions and i always do horrible on those. So i am really bumbed, oh and i got a question on infection control more than once. I did get several priority questions but not enough to make me feel like i passed or to make me feel like i was even in the passing range. I took kaplan that cost me $500 and i studied every day for 5 weeks. I feel stupid and i am going crazy because i have to wait till friday to find out my results. Did/does any one else feel like this that passed????
I just want to thank all of you for you support and prayers....i am officially an RN now!! I passed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And now i am sure there is no rhyme or resason to the types of questions you get because i didn't get a lot of priority questions and no delegation questions. Good luck to every one else who is waiting.
Congratulations!
I've been lurking on this thread waiting for you to post your results. My biggest fear was getting a bunch of meds I don't know and choose all that apply. I took the NCLEX today. I finished in 75 questions. I had 5-6 choose all that apply, atleast 14 prioritizing (yes, i kept track -> loser!), and 5-6 mods that I have never heard of! I am freaking out right about now!
You've given me atleast a glimmer of hope!
omg!! i took the nclex yesterday, and i also feel as though my brain was removed at the door to the testing center. the fact that my friends and family are convinced that i passed doesn't really help, because i feel enormous pressure to pass! i can't even remember exact ?'s---- i just know i had alot of l&d, infection control, some check all that apply, peds. none of the questions really made me feel confident, and the one calculation i got was an i&o. a guy at the ca brn told me that your name will post w/o official transcripts, but they won't release your card. does anyone know if this is true? sorry for the rambling, but i am :barf01:
I took it on Thursday... I had a lot of Prioritization/Delegation, Infection Control/Contact Precautions, Disaster, Management, Patient Teaching, Peds, etc. I only got 2-3 multiple-multiples and only 2 med calculation questions. Best of luck with your results!!!!!!! You'll be in my thoughts! I should know today... PRAY!
I took the test last June or July (see, it's fuzzy. I think I tend to block out the unpleasant things in life!) I finished in 75, and I walked out thinking that I had flunked in the worst possible way. My best friend took it the week before me with the exact same feeling.
We both passed. I think just about everyone feels that way when they walk out of that stinking test!
Good luck to everyone that is still waiting for results! Keep us posted!:balloons:
you are not alone...i took the exam yesterday and i have been losing my appetite since yesterday...my computer shut off at 75...i don't feel confident with my answers...i got a lot of priotization questions and meds...and too bad meds and prioritization questions are one of my weakness. let's just hope for the best!! good luck to all!
