Pretty Sure i failed today :(

I took my test today and the computer shut off after 75 questions. Thats not why i think i failed. I think i failed because i got a lot of content questions like what to look for in hypokalemia, and stuff like that. I kept getting a bunch of meds and i had no clue what they were and i couln't even begin to take an educated guess. Then i had 5 million select all that apply questions and i always do horrible on those. So i am really bumbed, oh and i got a question on infection control more than once. I did get several priority questions but not enough to make me feel like i passed or to make me feel like i was even in the passing range. I took kaplan that cost me $500 and i studied every day for 5 weeks. I feel stupid and i am going crazy because i have to wait till friday to find out my results. Did/does any one else feel like this that passed????

i have to agree with you bluegoldfish everyone expects me to pass the exam neither did they know that i am almost going crazy thinking about that exam...you are not alone...good for you it would only be 48 hours of agony..how about me california boards is taking forever...*sigh* let's just hope for the best!! Good luck to you!!

you are so right sister! rissa were gonna make it, we have to make it...

bluegold...don't let the 86 freak you out. You can pass at 86 and you can fail at 86. The number of questions mean NOTHING. No matter what, you would have a minimum of having to answer 85. That 86th question could have been the one that tipped you over to the passing side! Please think positively. Everyone is always so negative. I find out in the morning if I passed or failed. It's an agonizing wait...but, worse comes to worse...if you don't pass, you retake it...and now, you will know exactly what to expect.

You will get through this. Stop being hard on yourself. Im sure you did great.

Cher.

Hey Cher - My class was the last one with paper and pencil boards (Yep - thaat long ago:smackingf ), and I thought that I would never hear from the Board. We sat boards in May, and I didn't hear back until late Sept. We were told that if we got a big envelope, we failed, and there was research stuff in there. If we got a small, regular envelope, we passed, it was our "congraulation" letter (we got results thru the mail way back then!!). Long story short, I got the big envelope, but whoever told us that story was wrong, I passed with flying colors!!! Hang in ther, after the tests everyone stood around and compared notes "I got this for question 147, what did you get?" sort of thing. I was SURE I failed!!! 's RN

:redpinkhe My heart actually goes out to ALL of you - didn't realize that so many of you are going to be nurses today!!!!!:welcome:

Yellow'..You can do it guyz! I guess there's no one person here that can say he/she's sure of passing the NCLEX right after the exam. It took me exactly four agonizing and torturing weeks before i got my result. My computer also stopped at 75? but was unsure about the results. Goodluck to all NCLEX exam takers! Keep praying! And for those who passed, a tight hug for you guys for passing the last, well, hopefully, the last exam of our life...:)

I felt really good after taking the exam...pretty confident I passed. I think I wrote that in another thread somewhere. I just felt like it was a little TOO easy...and maybe it was because I was getting everything wrong! *L* Even confident people have self doubts.

I found out I passed this morning!

Best. Feeling. EVER!:nurse:
