President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

What is your thinking on this?  What do these protests against the fascists currently in office have to do with Biden? It seems this might have better been shared in the current events related thread.

It had to do with a conversation I had that after Biden the Democrats were on the rise.  He disagreed in one post and then later posted this video to support the idea.  I answered above.

I guess it's connected to Biden because these are post Biden rallies and people at them.  I don't mind talking about the post-Biden world, but I'm pretty much done with Biden and he did or didn't do unless it affects a situation today.

I'm waiting to discover how it will be Biden's fault that the Trump economy is so shaky.

No need to wait.  Biden handed Trump an economy in ruins with people dying.

"I had no inflation, virtually no inflation. [Biden-Harris] had the highest inflation perhaps in the history of our country because I've never seen a worse period of time,” Trump said. "People can't go out and buy cereal or bacon or eggs or anything else. The people of our country are absolutely dying with what [Biden and Harris have] done. They've destroyed the economy.”

I'm pretty much done talking about Biden but you keep bringing him up for discussion.

I have some good stories about how mean Mary Todd was to Abraham Lincoln is anyone else is interested in the bygone times.  We discussed Trump during the Biden years since Trump couldn't prevent himself from keeping his mouth shut about the stolen election and smearing Bien every.single.day.

Trump was a threat to our republic during the Biden administration.  Now he's breaking it because people wouldn't listen.

There's no reason to talk about Biden currently.  I'm sure Congress and the DOJ will spend considerable resources investigating all things related to Biden in the coming months.  They'll give us things to talk about.

"The Bidens want back in.

With the Democratic Party struggling to find a new direction, former President Joe Biden and former first lady Jill Biden have offered to jump in and help with fundraising and rebuilding."

Former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama have continued to support the Democratic party appearing at events.

Haven't seen President George Bush Jr at any Republican events in over 8 years.  Desiring to help one's country and party been part of the Democrats play book for decades.... Thought it was for Republicans too.

Agree, former Presidents often stay in politics.

Bush Jr. has pretty much stayed out of politics. I think one problem was that he couldn't get behind Trump and perhaps didn't like the direction the party has taken.

The fact that Bush is not endorsing his party's nominee is itself notable. In 2012, Bush said he was backing Republican candidate Mitt Romney against former President Barack Obama. Four years earlier, Bush endorsed the now-late Sen. John McCain for president in 2008.

Still he does do fundraisers for Republicans.

I think you missed that most Democrats don't want their "help".

We saw the fog of delusion from his supporters, too.

"Whipple said in an interview with Politico about his book that many of Biden's closest aides were in a "fog of delusion" about the former president, and calling it a "cover-up" did not go far enough.

"I have fresh reporting on an hour-by-hour, day-by-day basis of Biden's final days, and obviously his decline is a major part of the story," Whipple told Politico on Sunday. "I happen to think that to call it a 'cover-up' is simplistic. I think it was stranger and way more troubling than that. Biden's inner circle, his closest advisers, many of them were in a fog of delusion and denial. They believed what they wanted to believe."

Another Biden book.

"The irony is biting: In the name of defeating what they called an existential threat to democracy, Biden and his inner circle ensured it, tossing aside his implicit promise to serve for only one term, denying the existence of health issues the nation had been watching for years, dooming the Democrats to defeat,"
