Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.
"Could there be anything more harmful to an election candidate's chances than the multiple legal cases that are facing Donald Trump?
Yes, as it turns out: a ruling which spares you from the embarrassment and bother of a court appearance, but does so on the basis that you are unfit to face trial. Joe Biden has been utterly destroyed by the conclusion of the special counsel looking into his retention of classified documents from his time as vice president. He could survive the pictures of the garbage tip that is his Delaware garage, but a US president who apparently can't remember when he was vice president, nor the year he suffered the sad loss of his middle aged son?"

Thank you for sharing that right wing opinion. Of course, this is a guy who thought that BREXIT was a good idea, so his judgment and analytical skills aren't really beyond reproach.
It is good, though to highlight the focus of modern conservative thinking as a rapist and insurrectionist seeks the conservative vote for the presidency in the USA.
Great, we get an elderly feeble well intentioned man with a poor memory or a rapist and insurrectionist that is still facing over 90 charges.
We over look our own candidates failings and are baffled by people actually considering the other candidate.
If the election were held today, I'd sit it out. Really.

He may be right-wing and wrong on Brexit, but you didn't say his opinion on this was wrong...

We get an elderly man who occasionally forgets names or makes verbal gaffes while negotiating substantive legislation and holding together a global alliance threatened by Putin and his republican allies. We get a guy who in an interview, couldn't remember what he had stored in boxes from the job he had in 2015. I mean, we can just accept that right wing narrative, but we don't have to, and given their recent track record, I wouldn't recommend it. While Biden is old, and shows it, that doesn't mean that he cannot function as chief executive and he's proved it, in my view.
The meat and potatoes of the report was not that the current president is feeble, but that he didn't mishandle documents in any intentionally corrupt fashion, unlike the other guy. Biden is old. Trump is old. Biden forgets things. Trump forgets things. Biden knows how government can work to benefit We The People. Trump knows how the government can benefit himself and the wealthy.
If the election were held today I would rush to the polls to stop the guy who wants to suspend our constitution to benefit himself while insisting that he has absolute immunity because he was once president. The way to stop him is to vote for the man that the corrupt fascist calls feeble and weak. Apathy among liberals and independents and moderates is exactly what the right wing wants and they will continue the marketing and messaging that encourages that pessimism and feeling hopelessness.

The Telegraph? Surely you jest. It's about as serious as the NY Post. Don't you see how irrational they are handling this subject? They assess Biden's gaffes as a danger to the US without mentioning the other guy who is the equivalent of dropping a dirty bomb on Washington; one has no comparison to the other. Our choice is between two people. One is out to destroy the government and the other has kept the wheel greased very well during his tenure. If perfection is you standard, no one will ever be good enough. We are comparitively coming out winners after the pandemic, as compared to other countries. What is it about your life personally that Biden has changed against your favor?

Apparently anything because the above certainly hasn't harmed him in any way. If anything his leadership of the Republican Party has been solidified, especially given victory in Nevada and on and on.
So yeah, someone forgetting something, someone with a hangnail, someone wearing a tan suit...all these things are more damaging to a campaign than multiple legal cases against Trump. Welcome to 2024.

That behavior you describe is evidence that Trump is the leader of a cult of personality, not a political leader for conservatives.
This is the same congresswoman who nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in January.
She has an imagination.

Forget Trump. And forget hangnails and suit colors. He cant remember the dates he was VP. The Special Prosecutor spent 5 hours interviewing him, and heard a interview with Biden and his ghost writer from 6 years ago. And then felt the need to explain Biden's cognitive ability as a reason to not prosecute him.
It'd be better for Trump, but terrible for the country if this man remains our president for another year.

That means that Joe Biden is weak and demented while also a crafty crime master mind who stole an election without leaving any evidence.
It would be better for Trump if Biden remains president? Really? How would it be better for Trump to not have immunity from prosecution?

It's been more than the just confusing names occasionally.
Now we have the Special Prosecutor saying Biden shouldn't be charged relating his mishandling of documents because a jury wouldn't convict a feeble old man.
I'm almost back to believing he won't be the nominee.
" President Biden appeared at a last-minute news conference on Thursday night, he hoped to assure the country of his mental acuity hours after a special counsel's report had devastatingly referred to him as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Instead, a visibly angry Mr. Biden made the exact type of verbal flub that has kept Democrats so nervous for months, mistakenly referring to the president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, as the "president of Mexico" as he tried to address the latest developments in the war in Gaza."
