Wow. No one has started such a thread yet?
After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days, apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.
Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week, by the end of April.

Thanks for ending the suspense early.
What exactly makes a "skilled politician "?

"Skilled" would include a politician who can get things done, even when there's opposition. A politician who can successfully negotiate legislative and policy compromise with political opposition.
Anyway you look at it, Biden has political skills while his republican opponent is a skilled liar and bully. His opponent, famously, shut down the government rather than negotiate. That wasn't a particularly politically savvy move and it cost him. The republican alternative to Biden isn't a skilled politician or a skilled administrator or a skilled diplomat. The contrast is stark.

I know that! I know that! A person who can respectfully negotiate with others to improve the lives of citizens? A person who knows how to react to catastrophe in a manner that doesn't make things worst? Yeah, not always a pretty Hollywood ending I.e. Afghanistan, but there's ao Hollywood ending for a brutal war.
This came out almost immediately after the border bill was defeated (in a bipartisan vote).
He's been saying that his hands were tied unless congress took action.
The informed folks knew that was a lie. This confirms it.
"The Biden administration is considering taking executive action to deter illegal migration across the southern border, according to two U.S. officials.
As passing legislation on border security in Congress appears unlikely, the plans under consideration signal that the White House wants to take action before numbers at the border, which have dropped in the past month, rise again as expected."

Nothing about executive action is permanent. No one is surprised when Trump supporters are unhappy when Biden points out that he can't legislate a fix for our border complaints or when they complain about executive orders when Congressional Republicans won't/can't govern.
As far as that representing a lie, let's assume it was a lie. So what? Lies don't disqualify anyone from public office. In the case of Biden's opponent, lies are celebrated and repeated and newly crafted everyday. This lie seems tame and of zero consequence in comparison, almost like it's a distraction from something important.

He actually told this story twice yesterday at different events, mentioning the wrong person both times.
I'm trying to Google what you're talking about it. All I'm getting is that back in October his hands were tied about border wall funds.
What story and what person?
Was the fact he was working on a Plan B for months a secret and did he lie about not having a plan B?
I tried Fox News but they aren't covering it but campaigning for Trump by highlighting Biden's dementia.
QuoteBiden 'did not remember when he was vice president,' when his son Beau died, during special counsel interviews

Either no one on his staff corrected him after the first one, or they did and he forgot and made the same mistake again.
Which is more concerning?
Neither are really concerning. Biden has a competent and ethical VP should he be incapacitated by his age injury or illness, and any verbal or memory lapse that Biden might have is less concerning than his GOP challenger who keeps lying about the 2020 election results and thinks that he should suspend parts of the constitution that trouble him. Oh, and that guy isn't certain who he ran against in 2016 or 2020 and he thinks that Nikki Haley was SOTH on 010621. So, no, not really concerned when the alternative is considered.

He stated often that he would "shut down the border tomorrow" if congress gave him the authority.
He has had the authority. No new legislation needed.

I'm sure a President has emergency authority to close a border, just like Bush had authority to close down the airways on 9/11.
I'm not reading in the article you stated that his Plan B is to close down the border.
As he was lobbying to get the bill passed, I do understand he said the congressional bill would give him authority to shut down the border and that he would do it, and perhaps he already has the authority to do this. I think it rather than just lying about it, he was lobbying for the bill, especially given the idea he is for open borders. But if that's want you want to focus on, okay but it doesn't seem to be much of a controversy.
