President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

Many, many people who qualify for the Biden Loan Transfer Program, such as myself, are not experiencing a hardship.  And, there were already things in place within the student loan program for those who are.

You shouldn't begrudge those who qualify.  You should begrudge the man shifting the financial responsabilities of those who have loans to those who don't.

Wow! This is a horrible point of view but I’m glad you’re not experiencing a hardship, contrary to your belief there are many people who are.

The cuts in govt funding for college education come nowhere near explaing the skyrocketing costs over the last 30 years.

At the same time, it's never been easier to go to college and pay for it, at least up front.  Thus, the discussion of the burdens of student loans.

Kinda nullifies your ridiculous theory about the motives of Republicans.

Can you give me something to read that supports the idea that college is more accessible and affordable than ever before? What percentage of stiffens can afford to pay for college "up front"? Does that mean without a loan? What does that mean in context of your comment?

Is it me or does Qhen something sounds too gkkd to be true...often the case don't be left with tge smoking gun as a prop ask Alec Baldwin. Real guns real loans all need to be accounted for ans they should knockoff debt its only fair but the opposing still bitter. Wanna hold on to the past going back not forward.

How is that a horrible point of view?

And, yes.  Some are experiencing hardships.  As I mentioned, there are already remedies in place for that.  Did you ignore that on purpose?

These morons didn't see this coming? Snicker.

Did they argue for the PPP program?  If so, yes they are hypocritical.

If they only took advantage of something that the govt made available to them, I'm not sure I see it that way.

I don’t agree with PPP but comparing it to student loan forgiveness is apples to oranges.  PPP was passed by Congress and was implemented because of a forced shutdown from the U.S. government.  Which we are now learning was totally based on fraudulent information from the CDC.

Nothing forced the participants to accept loan forgiveness, it after all was called a loan. Unless from the beginning they had no intention of paying the money back when they passed the bill.

Then Congress should have stipulated it all needed to be paid back.  It’s that simple.
