President Biden thread

Published

Wow.  No one has started such a thread yet?

After promising that most K-8 students would be in schools in the first 100 days,  apparently Joe is afraid to lead on this and has drastically scaled back that goal.

Instead, we're shooting for about half to go to school at least one day a week,  by the end of April.

"Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington said Psaki violated the Hatch Act when she appeared to endorse McAuliffe during a White House press briefing on Thursday. The Hatch Act prevents federal employees from engaging in political work while performing their official duties."

"More than 300 Black churches across Virginia will hear from Vice President Kamala Harris between Sunday and election day in a video message that will air during morning services as part of an outreach effort aimed to boost McAuliffe."

I understand that Psaki should have said "he" instead of "we" and she acknowledged that she made a mistake.

The second article however doesn't explain which IRS rules the VP is violating.  Can you clarify?

Dude give over! Your hypocrisy is mind boggling and you simply don't seem to care about your reputation or how you are perceived, just like your people!

Is it because you have memory deficits or are devoid of moral structure that you feel that you can gaslight us and we miraculously forget what went before?

Beerman, you have a reputation and you continue to reinforce it with your gaslighting! You don't even attempt to try and post credible news. I can tell that I never go to your links because I know that they will contain some Fox Noise bullet points.

Fool me once, shame on you, twice, shame on me!

How do you think certain brands of cars have a reputation for reliability and some are pure ***?

And all of a sudden the Hatch Act is important again...

Get over yourself, he used the AP and CNN as his sources.  You don't have to click them on but he's not gaslighting.  Obviously he's picking and choosing articles that are negative towards the current administration but that's fair.

According to the article Beerman posted:

During the presidency of Donald Trump, the Office of Special Counsel, which is tasked with enforcing the Hatch Act, officially reported several of Trump’s aides for ethics violations and called on the president to fire his senior counselor Kellyanne Conway for repeatedly ignoring the rules. It is up to the president to determine any appropriate disciplinary action for workers who violate the law, and Trump declined to take action against Conway or the others.

So I guess it was important to some back then.  But just because it seems to have been widely ignored by the former President doesn't make it right now. I like how she immediately responded with an admission and corrective action, unlike the prior administration apparently.

Do CNN and AP usually contain Fox News bullet points??️

And you're right.  Indeed, I don't lose any sleep about how I'm perceived by anonymous strangers on the internet who know next to nothing about me.

Which is why you ignore idiosyncrasies!

Her character tells you that it's a mistake and that she will apologize when she realizes. I don't like Biden, period, but he was the best choice at the time. When Hitler is at the door as in the current GOP, you don't negotiate with them. You stomp them into the ground and grind your heels on them!

There's no need to nitpick except when it's deliberately done as in the how many trump had that were consummate liars?

If you choose to listen to trump then it's your funeral. I don't listen to liars, period! And people who support them, comes under the same category!

People don't seem to realize how dire the state of our democracy is in. It's under attack by liars, murderers and criminals who should be jailed like terrorists in Guantanamo. Personally, I love how they are culling the herd with their lies and deception except we are going to pay the bills for it and they will get away with enormous pensions and benefits and lobbying jobs that we paid for. The moment Putin is removed from office, I'm going to live in Denmark, Sweden or GB.

If only Americans realize the mad world we live in, compared to other people? How many Ted Cruzs or Abbotts do you think live in Northern Europe that doesn't have many constraints containing them?

You write about what you believe in and that says all that I need to know. I'm as conservative as you are and probably far more authoritative, but I know the aspects of humanity and how to reign my impulses in. I also know that the current GOP is dead wrong regarding how they are going about achieving their goals. Also misogyny and racism is not my bag. If you didn't see the ugliness of Charlotte, then it says volumes about you if you continue to support any organization condoning that sort of behavior.

It's always important to those who actually do care about law and order.  It only matters to Trumpers now because their media told them that it matters. Psaki made an error while Trump's team made a sport of the rule with dozens of blatant examples. Yet, here we are ...

I actually I written very little of what I believe.  Most of what I post is criticism of our current President, and of Democrats.

You have taken that and have assigned to me all of the negative things you believe conservatives to be.

And suddenly my memories fail me about all of the previous support you had for trump and the GOP?

I skim huffpost for headlines but occasionally they have some good news. This is what I mean about the GOP and the people they tolerate.

Sure, like the so-called main stream media or liberal press didn't shower the former guy pages and pages, and hours and hours of coverage, giving him the attention that he craves so much. He reveled in any mention of his name or broadcast image whether the story was critical or praising. He almost seemed to enjoy the critical pieces more so that he could just add to his grievances and show his cult just how picked upon he was.

That same media tries to create the same sort of lurid coverage for the current guy, but it's a struggle. If only Biden shake down a foreign leader, buddy up to a dictator, call a woman a fat pig, or at least call an undeveloped country populated with brown people an $%!# hole country.

Do you mean buddy up with the Taliban, and leave "brown" women and children at the hands of child raping gay bashing maniacs?
