What are your summer plans while waiting for nursing school to start....

I was just wondering what everyone's plan for the summer while waiting to start nursing school?

Vacation?

Summer classes?

Relaxing at home?

Anything else?

I already took my summer classes.(Microbiology and Ethics) For the rest of the summer, I plan to resume my Spanish lesson. I am using Rosetta Stone (got it for free), Livemocha.com and 123teachme.com. I am also going to purchase a dosage calculations book from amazon and get a head start on that.

I might take a small road trip in Aug around my birthday.

I start nursing school in the Fall and I have been working, planning vacations (going to Vegas on Saturday and trying to fit in a trip to Europe before school starts to visit a friend living in Spain), relaxing, exercising, hanging out with friends and I just got my Patho book in the mail yesterday so I will start doing some of the reading. I'm spending the majority of my time doing Mommy Summer camp with my kids...anything to keep them busy! Also taking pharmacology, Basic Care, and statistics. My husband and I just got back from Vegas, and I went on a cruise with my mother. We'ee planning a road trip up the West Coast in August and a trip to float the Guadalupe River with some friends in July.

Preparing to be school-bound for the next two years after having freedom to do whatever for quite a while. It's gonna take some getting used to!

No trips for me I am in summer classes until August 5th than I have bls in August. I could have done it earlier but my current card doesn't expire til September. Plus I don't want to take it in the middle of all this homework I have. We will probably do a trip to st Louis. I only have week of vacation. But that is okay with me. I have big plans when I am done with all this schooling. I am ready to start nursing school already. I hope you all enjoy your trips!!!

I live in Southern CA so Vegas is a few hours drive away. As far as Europe is concerned, it isn't confirmed yet but I am able to save a lot of money by staying with my friend. The most expensive thing will be the plane ticket but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out. I want to do as many things as I can before I have no social life because my BSN program is 3 years including 2 summer sessions. As far as the Spanish is concerned, the more you hear the easier you'll pick it up, keep up the good work!

I'm just going to relax! Lol. Swimming, fishing, diving, and surfing for me! Come August my life is going to consist of nursing school and nothing else! It still doesn't feel real, probably will though on orientation on July 18th:D

I'm rewatching all the movies and shows I haven't had the time for during the school year. Rewatched all the Harry Potter movies last week and now I'm rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the show). Just feels nice to veg.

My best friend lives in another state but we're meeting up to take a trip to Vegas. We're so not Vegas people so I'm not what we'll do!

Other than that, I'm just trying to get all my paperwork and health clearance stuff done before I start my nursing program in the Fall.

Well Pharm is finished on the 3rd of July and orientation is on the 12th. After that I'm spending a month in Jamaica with the kids. So happy to relax before stress. That's my summer.

Well, I have put my "2 weeks in" at work; my last day will be August 3rd. Class doesn't start until August 20th, so my boyfriend and I are deciding on spending a week in Las Vegas, New York, or Maryland/Washington DC to visit his family before school starts. Either way, I live in Florida and have never been to any of those so I am freaking psyched! :)

Apparently it is a trend to do it big right before nursing school, haha.

Ah, everyone still breathing is a Vegas person! My husband and I don't gamble, but we were still non-stop busy. Murder mystery dinner, Elton John concert (don't judge, I adore him lol), burlesque show, Bodies exhibit, titanic museum, mob museum, csi interactive experience, swimming, eating at famous restaurants, shopping, karaoke, wax museum....the options are limitless :). Unless you've done all that already. Then I guess you'll just have to spend the entire time at strip clubs!

If you're a do-er, I found this - didn't buy it, but we would've saved a fortune if we did.
