The Spring '05 Anatomy & Physiology Club: A&P 2

I found A&P II more time consuming. Knowing the systems inside and out, front and back, step by step of how things are absorbed, filtered, excreted and why, along with all of the anatomy that goes along with,is very time consuming- not necessarily harder.

That makes a lot of sense. IE the chapter on the endocrine system has taken forever and we're still not done. We've already devoted 4 hours of lecture to it, and will finish tomorrow, starting the circulatory system. It was like 16 pages of notes in our supplement - NONE of the chapters in A&P1 were that long. (We can purchase pretyped notes from the bookstore that we add our own notes to...it's awesome!)

thank you!!! that was nice to hear for a change!!! people were making me nervous at work. good luck to you!!!

i noticed that we have way less material to cover in a&p 2. we covered 18 chapters in a&p 1 and we only have 10 chapters in a&p 2! we left off last semester with the endocrine system. anyone else notice this?? it seems odd to me.
mandarella, don't panic! you're going to do great:) once you get started, it will come back to you. also, if you ever need help, there are plenty of great people on this site that will be here for you....myself included! as you can see, we are all in this together.

I started A&P 2 tonight. We just reviewed the syllabus. My teacher seems really nice though. We have 5 lecture tests and 3 lab tests. Only thing is, almost everybody in the class knows somebody else in the class and I know nobody so lab should be interesting ! We'll see. I also am taking Micro, Nutrition, and Music App. Full load but I can do it ! Or at least that is what I keep telling myself. Best wishes to all.

So I guess pretty much everyone should be into their AP 2 classes by now. We had our first lab tonight and we just got introduced to it. Our first lecture test is over the whole endocrine and whole reproductive systems !!

That seems like a whole lot to me. What is everyone elses like ?

We are having our first test on Saturday over the endocrine system only. My teacher is testing us after each chapter. No mid term no final but we have a test about every other week. So far so good I seem to be understanding the endocrine system. Good Luck everyone.

I'm in your boat. We have a TON of material. We've only been in class 5 days and we're already expected to know the 206 bones, all of the skull's details, and 3 chapters read already. I hope it doesn't go this fast for the whole semester!

We have only a midterm and a final in lecture and quizzes.

The endocrine system seems pretty rough to me. All of the hormones are fine, but their target cells, functions, and what inhibits and stimulates each one can get confusing.
