Here's a question... how far in debt will you be when nursing school is all said and done? How many years are you spending in school? BSN or RN?

I will be $38,000 in debt after two years to earn an RN. This accounts for books and tuition and the loans I have to take to supplement my income and pay my bills while I'm working only part time. Wow, career changes are expensive...

I am already about $20,000 in debt, with 3 semester until I get my ASN. I plan to go to Johns Hopkins to get my bachelors and then masters so, I'll be around $100,000 (or more) in debt when I'm completely done.

I'm currently in 12,000 dollars in debt. It could be much worse. I lucked out by being single and not having any kids, being able to work part time, and scholarships. I also had family members donate to "the cause." ;-)

$0, doing an ADN.

Tuition reimbursement plus continuing to work full time.

$0, because I won the MegaMillions lotto! Yeah...right!

~$25,000 for 5 years of education, including inflation, but not gas prices.

Hmm, well I still have 2 full years. I am gonna be around $15,000 in debt. That is for my ADN and 3 years of school. After I get my ADN, I am gonna work, and go back for my BSN. I hope to get a job that have tuition reimbersment (sp?), so I can get that for FREE!

It is expensive, uh?

12000.00. graduating next year, Cant wait!

Hopefully, not more than $ 10,000 to get my ADN...I finished all my pre-reqs, all I have to do is my nursing classes, starting this fall.

0, went to community college and worked the whole time. I'm not a fan of debt.

Specializes in acute care.

farther than I'd like to be, but since I have no credit card debt, live well below my means, and will be making $65k+ when I graduate, I expect to have my loans paid off within 5 years.

Specializes in Med/Surg.

When I finish my BSN program it will be in the area of $12 to $15K.

I'm not worried about it. I have zero credit card debt, my car will be paid off before I graduate...and I am only 23 so I have plenty of time to pay it off. Did I mention my hubby is an engineer? We'll be fine. :)
