Its not as bad as you think and psyching yourself out won't help. I don't remember if it was timed, I'm pretty sure it was though. The math was basic no calculus or anything so advanced lol. Just make sure you can do percents and fractions basic algebra for the most part. I thought the science was harder but thankfully I had just finished a biology course so I was up to date on dna and things like that. I bought the ati testing booklet, which I found really helpful. Already sold mine though so no help on that front but they have a website which can give you more info on it. http://www.atitesting.com/global/students/teas.aspx Good luck hun and remember, breathe. :redbeathe
Brightstar 38 Posts Aug 12, 2009 Special Kae, I was in your position about 5 months ago and now, I am starting the nursing program in the Fall. I took the test only once and got a decent score. I bought a mannual study guide from ATI testing and an online practice. In the mannual study guide, it will pretty much tell you what subjects will be on the test. I would highly recommend buying those. TEAS test is not that bad, REALLY! Math portion was actually the easiest for me..what got me though was a science portion. The science questions mostly contain life science, earth science that you learned from 6-7th grade and one or two questions on A&P, microbiology. You have to have a positive attitude. Tell yourself that you can do this. Manage time to study and devote yourself to it. You will do awesome!! SMILE :)

My school required a 67% or better. I did fine on the test & will be starting my RN program in about 2 weeks.I bought the study guide off of the ATI website & took two of their online tests. I was really stressed about the math portion...I ended up doing better on that than the sciences!Review types of rocks & tectonic plates. :)
elacer08 209 Posts Aug 13, 2009 For the science portion of the teas test was it mostly just rocks, plates, and was there anything like atmosphere, biosphere, or climates? Anything important about physics like motion, heat, or velocity? Did they cover any biology? Thanks!

There was only like 3-4 questions on rocks and plates, but it was enough for me to freak out when I saw it. Biology? I don't remember that at all...but that was probably because I was so freaked out about what type of rock they were asking about...

Busia 169 Posts Aug 13, 2009 I'm using the ATI study guide right now, and the further I get into it, the better I feel about taking the test. I'll be testing mid-September, so I have another month to study up!
mlclove 69 Posts Specializes in Sub-acute, Rehab. Has 1 years experience. Aug 13, 2009 No problem hun. Glad I could help, wish I had found this site sooner. It's nice knowing so many other people are going through the same things. And math is my worst subject as well. Give me english any day and I can ace it in a heartbeat lol. Let me know how you do, I'm sure you'll do great. Good luck.
