I just graduated in May, and I'm still in disbelief that Cleveland Clinic would want to interview me! I'm super excited but also really nervous. The floor I'm interviewing for is a cardiac step down. Does anyone have any advice or encouragement? It is a phone interview for this Monday the 6th.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

How did it go?
very well actually. but of course they sent me an email the day after saying that they are gonna look internally first. but at least they will keep my info :)
Ahh well, keeping my fingers crossed that they decide to hire you instead!

My guess is that they are "looking internally" because the Cleveland Clinic system is closing their Huron Hospital and will offer positions first to those nurses.

This definitely makes sense. All of the clinic's RN job postings are now only open to employees (pretty much). I did my preceptorship in the MICU at main campus and would love to work there but now it doesn't look like that's gonna happen...
it's alright! I actually took a position at good sam in dayton :)

Good luck Sunny!!! Will you have to be moving down to Dayton right away? I would be so excited to get a nursing job at such a great hospital and to have to move on top of that I think I would internally combust!

Here is what I heard about CC hospitals.... They will be hiring CCHS employees only for now. This is because of Huron's situation. I am also looking for job ad so far nothing.... One of our family friends just called me and said (from internal source) that Metro is freezing hiring also.

I know for a fact that recruiters that normally are based at the main CC hospital were sent to Huron to be present for
information distribution.

I was hired as a new grad during a freeze. I applied to EVERYTHING at CCF that I could, and made my cover letter really stand out. I'm in lpn-rn program right now. Does ANYONE know the starting salary for RN?
