I am not worried about that. I have so many college credits as it is that I will be done with my Psychology degree the semester before I start nursing school.

I am going to be needing two letters of reference for application to the Nursing program. I have professors who are very happy to write them for me but they are fairly new and have little experience writing one. What should be in the letter? Thank you!

It might put you a little behind but I would retake it. Also, i don't know what school you are going to but mine is very competitive and it would be hard to get into the Nursing program at all if you have a C in one of your core Sciences.

Good luck Sunny!!! Will you have to be moving down to Dayton right away? I would be so excited to get a nursing job at such a great hospital and to have to move on top of that I think I would internally combust!

Even though I am still in school I understand what you are going through. Before I started back at college I went through the same exact merry go round of job interviews and putting in literally 100s of resumes. You just have to keep hanging in there even though things are really tough. I have a question...it seems like there are a lot of you on the board you have had telephone interviews...is that the norm now?

I have a question for you; I am a dual Psychology and Nursing major. Do you think that will be too much education to work in a hospice, in other words should I leave the Psychology major off of my resume and only have the Nursing BSN listed when I apply to jobs?

Be sure to let us know how the acclerated program goes; if you like it then maybe I will try to get into it too. Is it true that they only let five people a year go into that?

You are so not stupid. I had to take Modeling Algebra this past Spring and it was a nightmare. If you are able to, be sure to take ---- for the math class you have to retake. She is awesome!!

I am getting ready to be in Kent State's nursing program as well. Out of curiosity, what influenced you to try and get into the accelerated program?

I am in pretty much the same boat as you Grad. I am not graduating as soon as you are but I really want to go into hospice nursing.

Oh wow. I am so glad to see that I am not the only person who is about to start nursing school at my age. *laughs* I have never felt old being only 36 but it is kind of strange when most of your classmates are in their early twenties.
