ogp are enough to drive you to drink,i am goin to phone them this week and have it out with them for all the good it will do me probably get a heap of new excuses and come off the phone more confused than when i started
i am so annoyed we hav been looking forward to this for nearly 3 years since we made the decision to go and when ogp phoned to tell me i passed the nclex they said i would be in states for feb or march 06 so now to be told it could be 2007 is heartbreaking:angryfireyep they are good at sending u round the twist:confused:let me know how it goes, and if i hear anything i will pass it on

Can I just warn the OGP nurses to check their contracts carefully one of the girls over here has over 4000 hours to pay back. We think it may be cause she has come from UK but is not UK trained. The rest of us have the 3100hr contract.
Also when you get here you get the chance to opt in for an insurance policy if you cant work-pay for this policy. You never know you may be like me in a car accident after 10 weeks and you cant work.
Be aware that your husbands wont be able to aquire a well paid job here very easily-some husbands dont work and others work for between $6-12 an hour.
My husband has at last been offered a job and the pay is $13.50 an hour but it has taken us since the 1st Dec. Make sure you have money to cover yourself through a 3-4 month period of one wage.
Nobody cares what your husband did in the uk and how important his job was. the men folk find this very hard to come to terms with.
Don't think he's with OGP Claire....... Are you Owain?
Oh no! I entered into communication with them two years ago and didn't like them then so didn't tie myself into them.
My wife and I have had enough of our company and have put the pressure on over the last few months - I am keeping records of all the work I've done to sort my registration and immigration to AZ that the company didn't do and I had to chase up to make sure it happened (i.e. NMC, CGFNS as they lost both our files, AZ BoN, VisaScreen). They've also got lots of our paperwork wrong and I actually went outside my AZ BoN licensing application period and had to re-apply as the company told me that I had to sit my NCLEX by the end of April when my BoN application period ended at the beginning of April!
Apart from that, everything's fine.
It really would have been easier, quicker and a lot more straightforward if we'd done everything ourselves.
Cheers

Ha ha ha LMAO. Last week I literally walked down a corridor in my Trust and within the space of 15 minutes I had been asked by 5 different people 'I thought you were going to the USA, what's happening?' I get asked it nearly every day. Most people think I'm making the whole thing up and I'm not going anywhere as I've been on about moving for so long and nothing is happening!!
Although I'm not, thankfully, with OGP my company working very closely with the various US authorities are doing their best to make this a very long process. I should have really been in the US by now. I was delayed by 3-4 months by CGFNS losing my documents, I passed NCLEX at the end of April and found out that my paperwork did not reach Vermont (in through that back door) until August. We have threatened breach of contract and things seem to be getting better.
I now have a complete VisaScreen which on paper should have been uncomplicated - it wasn't!
God, how I wish we'd done it ourselves.
Cheers
