are there any nurses working or about to move to phoenix with ogrady peyton and if so are there jobs where you work because we really want to move there but ogp say theres not a demand.i am moving with my husband and 2 kids and we feel phoenix is the place for us,but ogp seem to have other ideas
I do have to throw in that I love St. Joes. Worked there for years, and at least the staff came down to see how she was doing.
And where was her agency to help them get home? A CNA from the ER drove them home in the morning.
I am sorry, but shame, shame on the agency. They are getting paid lots of money by the nurses that work for them. To the tune of at least $16,000 for the two years. And not to be available. That is breach of contract in my opinion, and should be treated as such. They always are first to throw in to everything that "we always have someone there for you."
My point exactly, OGP are my green card suppliers. As for St Joe's before even interviewing with them I researched them found out what they were like etc the good and the bad, was surprised to see the only bad point was the traveling to and from work. OGP did score a good point they organized phone conferences with St Joe's before and after the job interview, which were very helpful.
But they are not green card suppliers, you are still paying a hefty sum for that, and that is not the way that it should be.
I am just trying to keep others from making that mistake. Rude treatment, is not tolerated at all, and they are specializing in that lately. They are making a large sum of money from you, and you should be treated as the client...............and the customer. They should be bending over backwards to keep you happy. And they are definitely not doing that.
yes suzanne you are spot on,i think to someone like me who had a dream of living and working in the states ogp play on my dream to get me signed up and i just wish i had found this forum before i signed with them and i would have done things differently.so i just have to get on with it and hope they get me to phoenix where i believe me and my family will be happy.

hi folks
spoke to ogp today, what they are saying is that the paperwork required has changed which means that the processing centre staff have had to get used to working differently, which has caused this delay.
im told that even if i get the I140 next week my travel date will be december, this to me is bad news as another winter here is not what i wanted!
i suppose if i look on the bright side it will give me more time to save and more time to sell my house, and maybe a placement which i reallywant will appear, what it also means is it will have taken two years, which i didnt expect.
this of course is all depending on if the I140 comes soon, if it takes another couple of months im looking at this time next year!
they did say that it is a common mistake to assume that because the website says processing visas with this date it doesnt mean that they are approving visas with that date, just that they are working on them.
I dunno, not what i wanted to hear, but at least i know something now.
think i might go and eat a cake

Sorry, but you guys are just getting the run around from them. Anything that has changed, they should have known about, and you should have been over here already.
At this point, I would give them an ultimatum, remember that a contract is a two way street, and if they are not meeting their part of the bargain, then the contract can become null and void. And this is per any reputable attorney.
There is not one reason whatsoever that it should take you more than one year from the time that you pass the NCLEX exam that you should not be in the US. Any other reasons that they are giving you, are just not acceptable. The English exams are waived for you, and the petition process can be started as soon as you have passed the NCLEX exam. So any other excuse is just not fair to anyone.

but surely this delay is not their fault but the fault of vermont? or am i reading it wrong? im not saying that you arnt right but it has been suggested by others that ogp have our I140 already but have no jobs to send us to, which would delay the next part of the process,do you think this is a possiblity?
its strange that someone whos business depends on us being there would delay us for any reason
one thing that does concern me is that ogp already have my visa fees in the form of a bankers draft, if i was to tell them to stuff it, what would happen to that? can i get it back or cancel it through my bank?
all i know is im sick and tired of all of this bullpoop, its really getting on my nerves and if one more person says to me 'have you heard anything about the usa?' im liable to commit a crime :angryfire :angryfire

As you said I know what happened to Kay:sniff: , it was inexcusable what they did:angryfire Sadly it's not only agency's that show no empathy or compassion, a few years ago my youngest DD suffered a serious head injury spent the whole night with DD in HDU, she was very poorly. In the morning nurse manager came to unit and there's me thinking she was inquiring about DD, but no, told me I had no right to not go into work (did inform bleep holder) and that pay will be deducted etc (as if I cared at the time:uhoh3: ) and I had better be on duty that night, to make up for my absence the night before:angryfire, this was a unit were it advertised itself as family friendly:eek: needless to say I left unit a few months later, and thankfully daughter soon recovered. So now I am very skeptical about "family friendly" hospital/agency's etc. Like what was said only the $$$$ count in their eyes:madface:
