Here are the exact steps to see if you passed the NCLEX exam on the Pearson Vue web site.
Updated:
Very important: At this point, if you get a pop up that says 'the candidate currently has test results that are on hold. A new registration cannot be created at this time.', it has nothing to do with passing or failing; it just means that they are reviewing your records due to random reviews that they conduct, or because they needed to locate some data or papers, etc.
This means you will possibly have to wait a few more days than your friends who did not get this message. If you get the message 'Records indicates you have recently registered for this test please contact BON. An appointment cannot be scheduled at this time.', that means you passed. If you do not get either message and go straight to the credit card information page, that means you did not pass.
Your Pearsonvue account must state that delivery is successful before you try the trick.

As of 07/03/2014, the PVT is seemingly alive and well. Four-and-a-half hours, and 265 questions later, I tried the PVT as soon as I got back to my car. Unfortunately, it kept taking me to the CC page. I was hoping by some miracle it was wrong, but just found out today through Quick Results that I have failed. I did in-class Kaplan, ATI, and a three-work course of NCSBN.
It's been really depressing for me. My wife and I just moved back to New Mexico, and she never could find a job so she decided to go back to school full-time thinking I would begin my career as a nurse soon. I was hired by a facility as a graduate nurse, and have worked a few weeks under that license. However, once you fail the NCLEX, your graduate nurse permit is rescinded. So, now that my permit is void, I cannot work at my facility until I pass the NCLEX. I also don't think cannot work as a CNA, because I doubt anyone would hire a newly graduated BSN, knowing they are a short-timer looking for a temporary job. So now we're both out of a job, and at this point my wife cannot even get one because she is taking three classes this summer.
If anyone has any coping suggestions, and studying strategies, please let me know.
Also, is there anyone from New Mexico who knows timeline of the process for re-application?
I've filled out all the paperwork and am mailing it Monday, but would just like to know how long it takes to get my new ATT. And when they grant me a new ATT, will I be able to reschedule 45 days from my test date (45 days from 07/03), or is it 45 days from the date of issue of the new ATT (45 days from, say, 07/21)?
Thanks so much!
