  1. So far, so good... So busy and a lot of work. I'm learning tons!! My greatest gripe would be the charting system, its time consuming and outdated...
  2. Hello, I started in the July '14 cohort. After my application they contacted me pretty quick within in a week. In my case I believe I was one of the last few hired. I had my interview in early July and they were pretty full so the options were slim as far as my preference of units to work on. As long as you have a 3.0 or higher you meet the gpa requirements. Hope this helps a bit!
  3. DC 28.08 +diff 3-5 New grad Med/surg
  4. PVT worked for me! 110 questions good pop up test day 6/25/14.. quick results 6/27 passed!
  5. Yep! I'm not normally one to cry but, nursing school has changed me... Lol, chin up and move on.. You're not the first and won't be the last!
  6. Yes, it's a beast like no other! You'll only understand once you're either in the midst of it or the spouse of a student nurse. I graduate April 26th and starting April 27th I'll need to start familiarizing myself with real life. Good luck, there's a reason most don't make it to the end!
  7. Hi Sarahw2592, Personally my experience has been pretty good. Of course it hasn't been perfect. it is a "newer" campus so there have been some bumps along the way. As with any school there are some less than ideal professors however, I have also had some WONDERFUL professors who have had my back! Remember, the program is accelerated and it is HARD. I came in with a 3.5 GPA and I came here from another state(that's another story all together). My advice would be to check out the school and talk to some of the newer students.. I would also say go in as prepared as possible and plan to put your life on hold, regardless of the school you choose. The fact of the matter is nursing school is hard!!! It is the hardest thing you'll ever LOVE! I believe my education has been top notch and it is evident when I go to clinical and can run circles around students from other schools. The cost has been my biggest stress factor. What it will come down to no matter where you go is how much you want it! Message me anytime!
  8. Hello, I am a current student and will be graduating in April. Good school overall, you will have to work hard and it's not cheap.
  9. Hi FreeMiki, Well I haven't yet started clinicals so I'm not sure what that schedule is going to look like. The GenEd courses i'm taking are pretty flexible and there is always the online option if you prefer to go online. I can say that there's a pretty good variety of times for courses and they are really good about helping you move things around to make it work. I hope this helps... I will say most classes meet once weekly and are kind of a hybrid of online. i hope that helps some. Feel free to ask more questions. Nicolelee
  10. Hi dmr2492, I transferred in 31 credits. No, I am not an LPN. I had been taking pre-req's at a community college for some time. There are some students in some of my classes that are LPN's. Yes, I did take the HESI A2 I didn't think it was too bad. I would suggest the book that is available for review, it was very helpful. Feel free to contact me with anymore questions- hope to see you soon!
  11. So I'm in my seconnd semester at Chamberlain. I can say that I continue to be satisfied with my choice! It is quite a bit spendy however, as a previous person said well worth it. I will begin all nursing courses starting next semester.. I am loking forward to that!
  12. Hi Donna, I started Chamberlain this Fall. So far so good. I will say it is alot of work but well worth it. I transferred in 31 credits. So I have a few gen ed courses that they require that I didn't have buit overall I am very satisfied with the path I choosen with Chamberlain. The instructors are very knowledgeable and all have advanced degrees. If you are thinking about it, I would contact them and check it out. It is so awesome to go a school where they want to see you do well.
  13. Anyone out there headed to the Chamberlain Arlington Campus this fall??
