Pearson Vue Trick: Is it accurate? Do you know anyone who paid using their CC and passed?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I took my NCLEX yesterday. Went all the way to 265 questions. I had gotten a lot of infection control questions, 30 SATA, a lot of priority qs and delegations. I was exhausted. I tried the PVT online when I got home, I it took me straight to the CC page, went through. I want to pay for the quick results, but it says it is not available yet, I have to wait 48 hours for it to be available. I am devastated. I check my AMEX card but the $200 is still pending. I do not know if I pass. I thought at first I did, since I was getting really high level of questions. But because I did the PVT, and went to the CC page, I lost HOPE. Can anyone tell me, if they know someone, who had gotten charged 200 dollars and passed? I do not mind to pay the 200 dollars, as long as I passed. Super sad here. Been crying all day, and I feel like I am such a failure. :'(

That trick is not, I repeat not, reliable. You might as well consult a Magic-8 Ball - it'll cost less, for one.

Everybody here who is a nurse knows the stress related to waiting for your official results. And all of us will say the same thing; go out, spend the next day or two having fun and celebrating the fact that you finished nursing school, and then if your state allows it pay for the fast results.

265 questions isn't an automatic failure, no matter what people say. Some people are randomly chosen to do all 265, sometimes the test taker confuses the computer algorithm that much. The number of questions given on a CAT doesn't equate to how "good" a nurse is, either.

Or, I've met some terrible nurses who passed in 75 questions, and some amazing nurses who needed all 265.

When you attempt the glitch before 24hrs it's considerably less reliable. You either paid for your retake or donated $200 no refundable to PV. I have no idea if your impatience will affect quick results

NO ONE IS RANDOMLY CHOSEN TO GET 265 QUESTIONS. Urban legend and refuted on ncsbn nclex FAQ

Hi. Thank you all for the comments. I did may have perhaps did the PVT way too quickly. I was exhausted, went to eat out after the test, then shower and did the PVT before midnight. People told me, I may have done it too quickly. But nonetheless, I am already feeling devastated. I thought I did well, because I was getting high level questions. I counted how many SATAs i had, and i counted 30 exactly. I had a lot of inf control questions, priority questions, like who i will see first, delegation, some ABGs. I thought it was all pretty much spread out. No math, no drop down questions, no hot spot. Mostly those and some questions that i thought were pretty much similar to Kaplan Trainer Qs. So I dont know. And California does not have the Quick Result option for us to know if we pass or not. After I did the trick, It sent me a receipt in my email stating about the purchase. But when I check my AMEX card account, the amount has not posted yet.

I have Kaplan, Hurst, and Uworld, apart from all other nclex books i had purchase in the past. I did all the trainer exams on kaplan. My scores were 60 to 71% on the trainers test. I study daily and religiously. So idk how i felt that i fail, or at least thats what I think. I am under the impression that when someone did 265 qs, they may be borderline passing. I hope I pass.

I had 265 questions and my PVT trick worked right after the test. Said I'm already registered for the exam (I ended up passing). My classmate took the test at the same time and failed so it took her 200 bucks right after the test. I'd say if it took your money plan on retaking

Ok, thanks. Most likely i failed

Passing the NCLEX doesn't matter how many of what type of question you have. The NCLEX varies from person to person, it is like an evil snowflake.

Also remember, the PVT may not be accurate & you might have just donated $200 to PV. Try to stay positive until you can know for sure, good luck!

PVT worked for me and every single person I know. If you got the good pop up, you most likely passed. If you got the bad pop up, there is still a chance that you may have passed so don't give out on hope yet. A friend of mine recieved the bad pop up first, then recieved the good pop up after 24 hours. Now, you just have to wait for quick results.

PVT is pretty accurate. It isn't a trick rather just a system flaw but totally makes sense. As soon as your test shuts off Pearson Vue already knows if you passed or not. They just wait for quality control. So if you attempt to re register and it won't allow you it makes sense that it is because you passed but if it takes your card info then you did not pass and are able to re-register for a new test.

I am sorry! I know that is disappointing.

CA unfortunately does not participate in Quick Results :( so will have to patiently wait it out. Lately, seems people are finding out later rather than sooner. Don't lose hope so soon ... crossing fingers that it all works out for you!
