Passing rate for your school?

Just wondering what your passing rate is for your RN schools? This year our school increased theirs from 77% to 80%. The first med surg test I got a 78% and I am completely freaking out! In our final grade, even though we do all kinds of extra assignments, they only base our grade on tests. Is anyone else's school similar?

My school is the same way but our average has to be 75%. We just had our first exam tonight. Just waiting for the grades to post.

our is 50% but nobody ever gets above 80 in anything.

75% for this year but they said they have raised it and will continue to raise it each year until it is 80%. Glad I got in now...

We are required to maintain 75% on exams. Each semester a calc test is given and the first three semesters the required score is 90%. In 4th semester the required score on the calc test is 97%. All paperwork / careplans are required for clinical and is on a pass/fail basis.

Ours is 84% on final grades each term - if you don't have 84% you are dropped from the nursing program...

Our classroom grades are based on tests, homework assignments, papers, etc. Clinical grades are 50% instructor eval and 50% assignments.

Ours is 80% on tests, and finals are cumulative. And every semester you have to get 100% on the calc tests. Clinicals are pass/fail, and clinical assignments don't go toward your overall grade. You have to pass the tests!

ours is 74%, the final grade is based on all 5 test and they all have to average out to 74%. there are other components that are added into our final grade, but if our test average is not 74% we automatically fail.

we have to get 90% on the med math test up until our final clinical and then that has to be an 100%

Our's is 80% on each exam and 80% on class work. They don't care if you get 100% in class work if one of your exams is 79 and the others are 80%, you'll be repeating. You may repeat 1 course. If your not successful, your out of the program. Talk about stress :crying2:

For our lecture class, you have to have a 78% cumulative grade to pass. This is calculated based only on tests. Other assignments are not used to calculate your final grade.

For clinical, it is a pass/fail situation. The only test that we have is a medication calculations test. You have to score 100% on this before you are allowed to come to clinicals. We are required to retake it each semester.

70% at my school.

At my school we have four tests and a final and have to have 77% to pass. We also have projects and checklists and clinicals and stuff like that, but we don't get a grade for any of it. It only hurts us if don't do it. ahhh... what a semester this is gonna be!

80% at my school.
